Hotel Gaivota Azores

Lage für die Erkundung von Ponta Delgada sehr gut (für eine Erkundung der Insel mit dem Auto würde ich ein Hotel außerhalb empfehlen (aufrund der zentralen Lage und dem Verkehr und Parkplatzsituation). Der Spabereich ist sehr nett, kann aber nur gebucht für 45 Minuten genutzt werden, dafür aber alleine.

Etwas hellhörig, vor allem zum Gang hin, Reinigungskräfte und vorbeilaufende Menschen hört man sehr gut. Design des Empfangscounters ist etwas steril und damit wirkt die Kommunikation mit dem Personal dann immer etwas unentspannt.

We both had a fantastic time at this hotel. It was recommended by somebody we met whilst visiting the island last year but it far exceeded our expectations. The hotel was very clean and our rooms were of a high standard. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had a good time. There was a fabulous choice for breakfast and the poached eggs were perfect every time. The wellness room was a fantastic addition and most times we had it all to ourselves. We had a suite which overlooked the marina and although the road was quite noisy with the balcony doors closed at night it never disturbed us.

The perfect location - the view from the balcony was amazing! An easy walk to the centre, bars and restaurants. The room was adequate, a little stark but the bed was firm (just how I need it to be) and there was a ton of great pillows. Clean and tidy hotel. The two ladies on reception were lovely, helpful and always smiling. The buffet breakfasts were a bit luke warm but when ordering from the menu all was good.

Good Breakfast. Clean room. Helpful reception staff. Great location and the view from our balcony was amazing.

The room was a little stark for a suite but it was comfortable though.
