"Sweet place to stay in Agrigento"

8.0

Nice building in a good location - close to the main buildings you would want to visit and on a quiet street. Liked entrance to building into foyer which kept everything quiet. Room small but nice and clean. Breakfast quite good and the hosts were very helpful.

"Best owners and breakfast hands down!"

10.0

What a nice couple, the proprietors of this lovely B+B. They went beyond the call of duty and in 21 days in Sicily I never had such a great breakfast again! I even learned a little about author Pirendello, who inspired the name and captions over the doorways! This is an exceptional property!

"Great B&B--But Don't Plan to Drive to the Door!"

10.0

We had a wonderful experience at Le Cinque Novelle. It started when our driver couldn't get his car to the hotel, and Giusse walked down to the Piazza Sinatra to meet us (that's as far as anyone should try to drive, no matter how small a car). The place is virtually new, the rooms large and clean, with good bathrooms, and the breakfast substantial is a wonderfully local way (e.g., fresh cherry tomatoes in addition to good pastries, blood orange juice and cappuccino). Downtown Agrigento is also a delightful place to wander around (be prepared to climb stairs); our only regret was that we only stayed one night, and only got to wander for a few hours. Like others, we also recommend the nearby Expannificio for dinner (starts at 7:30; reserve or get there early).

"No frills - but certainly adequate"

8.0

A nice small hotel. Room was clean and functioned well. A little hard to find - but hey, this is Sicily and most anything in a small old town will be hard to find. The owners were pleasant and helpful. One suggestion, breakfast starts at 8:45. We would have appreciated an earlier start to the day. While the breakfast was simple, it was appreciated that they provided a gluten-free alternative to the cornettos.

"Beautifully finished B&B"

8.0

Very nicely appointed B&B with friendly hosts. Convenient parking nearby in paid-garage (guests received discounted rate). Streets nearby small and hilly, and the neighborhood may appear sketchy at night; but it is very convenient to see the Valle dei Templi, nicely priced; and some rooms have a great panoramic view of city.

"highly recommended"

10.0

We found the couple who run this hotel, extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming. They both speak excellent English and kindly let us check in early and then looked after our luggage on the final day as the lockers at the station were out of action. They also gave us excellent advice on shops and restaurants. The room we had was exceptionally quiet. The breakfast was fantastic although they seriously overestimated our appetite!

"NICE, BUT HARD TO REACH."

6.0

This is a lovely bed and breakfast, NOT a hotel. It is difficult to reach, located on a narrow street on a sharp hill. The owners do not live on the site. When we arrived, they were not there, and we had to wait until they came to let us in. It is a very nice place, and the breakfast was good. The main problem for us was that they serve breakfast beginning at 8:30, even though we asked for an earlier time, very late for travelers to get going.

"Best Little B&B...."

10.0

This simply wonderful B&B is without doubt the cleanest, most welcoming and comfortable B&B we have ever stayed in. The rooms and whole establishment is scrupulously clean without being sterile, it is warm and inviting, clearly the passion of Giovanni the owner who simply cannot do enough for you. The bedding is of superior quality and we had a great night sleep. The bathroom modern and well appointed..We found the property with very little trouble and the front entrance labelled clearly. Parking is offsite in a dedicated safe carpark and the maze of one way streets can be tricky....Location good for access to buses to Valley of temples, 1Euro each way & 7 mins in bus. This B&B is HIGHLY recommended for couples.
