Hotel Broletto Mantova - Centro Storico

I am devoted to Muesli for breakfast but was willing to try something different.

To start with a sweet pastry didn’t agree with me but I was able to eat fruit. Thank you.

The breakfast was fine. I told the hotel before I arrived that I was Gluten Free and they provided a whole array of breakfast breads, biscuits and cakes. It was a simple breakfast for all,as they suggested, pastries , yoghurts and fruit.

There was nothing that was problematic

Well..the young women who manage this hotel/ bnb are fantastic. Great with restaurant tips, places not to miss, train info The location is also great..you are right in the city center BUT: The desk is not manned 24/7. Plan your arrival carefully. There is no lobby..just a desk in a room Our room was unbelievably stuffy. The AC was OFF. I don’t know if this was Italian policy or just the hotel. They advertise that they have it. I opened the hall windows, our room windows and the room door to get some circulation going. Our room faced a noisy street, but we needed air, and it did abate after 10pm, BUT really loud street cleaning? trucks arrive at around 5 am. I thought a jet was going to land in the room. Breakfast was fine with me..croissant and a cappuccino..both were good enough. 2.5 really I noticed plenty of attractive BnBs in the historic center. Hotels seemed limited,but Broletto really isn’t a hotel..it’s something in- between. Can’t recommend
