Hotel Kasteel Doenrade

J’ai adoré notre séjour dans ce magnifique hôtel. Nous y avons passé 3 nuits et apprécié le petit-dejeuner. Le personnel était très attentionné et attentif à chacun de nos souhaits. J’ai aimé l’atmosphère chaleureuse des bougies partout au cœur de l’hiver, ça ajoutait une note supplémentaire au lieu ! L’hôtel est très beau, les jardins également mais il est excentré et perdu dans la campagne … Le seul point négatif est la salle de bain qui est minuscule, trop minuscule ! La chambre pourrait être également un peu plus spacieuse surtout que le lieu s’y prête ! Mais c’est un très bel hôtel et j’ai apprécié chaque instant de notre séjour !

An actual XVIII century chateau, turned into a hotel. Decent breakfast buffet, very friendly Staff. A quiet location on the outskirts of the village.

Heating on the top floors was inefficient. When the temperature dropped below -5 Celsius at night, the room was chilly and the bathroom was really cold (no space heater in the bathroom).

The common areas were absolutely stunning at this hotel - they really put a lot of effort into decorating the common areas and making it warm, cozy, and comfortable.

I wish they would have taken the same effort put into the common areas into the bedrooms. I know it's an old castle but there were spiders, spider webs, not enough amenities for the price, kettle was gross, and the room just felt cold/unwelcoming.

Ondanks vertraagde aankomst, om 2300 personeel bij de balie voor vriendelijke check-in. Nette familiekamer met op verzoek een kinderbedje. Kamer heeft twee ruimtes verbonden met trap. Als enige verbeterpunt misschien een traphekje.

Living in this Castle converted to Hotel was amazing experience. They even had a Knight's room. Very large room and good facilities.

Cheaper option for B'fast would have been great but was not a discomfort

Al vaker hier geweest en alles is altijd prima in orde.
