Pelican Beach Hotel

Perfect place for a tranquil getaway. You can walk for miles on the beach and not see another person. Maybe add some screens to keep the bugs out but other than that perfect paradise.

We had a wonderful stay at the Pelican Beach Hotel. The property is incredible - right on the beautiful Whitby Beach. The rooms are cozy, clean - and the staff makes sure you have everything you need. They went above and beyond to give us a full island life experience. Plus, we loved the complimentary breakfast tray delivered to our room! Barracuda Beach Bar also has amaazing drinks and delicious food - make sure to try the conch! We will definitely be back.

Staff at pelican beach was awesome. They have everything we needed for the week or we're able to get it for us. The whole island is very remote. We visited 7 different beaches each with their own unique properties from sand bar, hidden beach, snorkel, etc and barely saw anyone else all week. Locals on the island were all friendly.

Nice and quiet. No people on the beaches. Great snorkeling at Three Mary's Cays. Staff was excellent. Grace, in particular, was very caring and helpful. Look forward to coming back!

The Pelican Beach hotel is a little known jewel on North Caicos. One of the best things about it is their customer service. Each staff member, from Grace at the front desk to Kay at the spa and everyone else were so helpful and easy to work with. They accommodated all of our needs well. Another great thing is the location. Our hotel room was right on the beach. When we stepped off of our small patio we were amongst the palm trees and sand of the beach, just ten steps from the water's edge. It was also very quiet and peaceful. We felt as if we were the only people there, and sometimes on the beach, we were the only people on the beach. This hotel does have pool, a great beach front bar and restaurant, and a spa, but if you want a big resort with a gigantic pool, three bars, a disco, jet skies, crowed beaches. and parasailers, then North Caicos is not for you. North Caicos is as beautiful unspoiled Caribbean island. This hotel is perfect for a couples getaway, a honeymoon, or just enjoying the benefits of a great Caribbean island.

Wonderful staff, magical location, and accommodations and amenities perfect for a small beach front hotel!

We stayed a week at this little very well run hotel. The ferry crossing was quick and easy and met by taxi and taken to hotel. On arrival was given cold towels and a rum punch. A good start! our room was very clean and we saw that after each stay of visitors it was deep cleaned with a steam mop. In the room there was air conditioning, plus ceiling fan, fridge, coffee maker [refills given every day) iron and hair dryer. You are literally 20 paces away from the beach so sitting on sun loungers on your porch is idyllic- listening to the waves. On site is the Baracuda Bar and here you can have delicious cocktails and great food - we ate here most nights. Each morning a breakfast tray arrives, with juice, fruit cup and a hot breakfast, we were there 6 days and every breakfast was different. Omelettes, pancakes etc. They now have fabulous swimming pool on site. we did hire electric scooters one days and toured the island again a great service from twin e bike tours. We had a fab stay and would go back. Thank you.

Pelican Beach Hotel was exactly what we were looking for - clean, comfortable, quiet and relaxed. Our room was literally ten steps from the beach - and after spending some time on North Caicos we think it was the most beautiful beach on the island. The hotel is not a luxurious resort, but it has all the comforts that you will need - a clean room, huge bed, nice breakfast delivered to your room and a swimming pool. The owner is super nice and very helpful. For other meals you can either drive to one of a very few restaurants on the island or go to the Barracuda Bar on the property. Luckily, the Bar serves one of the best meals on the island and you will probably meet most of the tourists and many of the locals there. One thing that needs to be underlined is that North Caicos is really not a touristy place. „Many tourists” here mean meeting more than five people per day. The beach in front of the hotel is usually empty or there is a couple of tourists walking around. If you need clubs, fancy shops and restaurants to have a good time, stay in Provo. On the other hand, if you like to actually relax and distance yourself from a big city, North Caicos is the place to go. Renting a car at least for a part of the stay would be advisable - Al’s rental car company can deliver the car to your hotel or you can pick it up from the port, where the ferry lands.

While this property is older, they have done a great job with making it look nice, welcoming, and appealing. The staff was so friendly and would make it a priority to say Hello when they saw you. The bartender and waitresses would remember our room and drinks to have ready for us when we asked. The view from the oceanfront rooms was breathtaking. You can sit on your private space to read, enjoy the sound of the waves just beyond, or even take a nap. They have a little tub of water to help clean off your feet before going into your room, and a mat just inside to wipe your feet on too. Breakfast was served to our room daily at the time we’d request, and they were always on time (even on the days the time was changed by us). The food at the Barracuda Bar was delicious, freshly made, and was convenient to just have charged to the room. The only place I’d recommend some updates is for better water pressure for the shower, but I understand theres only so much that can be done about that. I was very thankful for a hot shower to take nightly. I’d also recommend a little rinse off station after coming off the beach, and not just the tubs at each of the rooms. But again, I’m thankful they at least had that option. Overall this was a 5/5 for my wife and I. This was our first trip to the islands and it was very nice go have a place where there weren’t a ton of people, it was quiet, and you truly could peacefully relax all day.
