I liked the quirky room and character

Location, facilities and staff were really friendly

Limited breakfast options, food not being served in evening (but it was Boxing Day). Pub was quite cold to sit in so ended up just going to room.

Comfortable cosy room, ample free parking close by.

Thin walls, we were lucky that we had quiet neighbours so had a good sleep. I imagine if you had inconsiderate neighbours coming in late it would be different, could hear conversation in the morning clearly. Its still great value, maybe bring ear plugs just in case, I always have them. A couple of tweaks to the continental breakfast would have seen excellent scores across the board. For me, some cheese triangles for the toast would have been better than jam or marmite. The teabags for breakfast aren't as good as the ones in the room, the thick cups take the heat straight out of the water from the machine. Time for a new toaster. This is honest constructive criticism, I would happily stay again.
