Logis Hôtel Les Vieilles Granges

Albergo situato vicini al fiume. Problemi per trovarlo, nonostante il navigatore aggiornato. I responsabili dell'albergo molto cortesi hanno atteso il nostro arrivo oltre l'ora concordata per servirci la cena.

Emplacement pas vraiment bucolique malgré une chambre face rivière. Petite chambre sans charme mais propre avec serviettes de toilettes et couette tres corrects. Emplacement isolé qui nécessite diner sur place. Restaurant pas si extraordinaire que proposé.

We have stayed at many Logis hotels, and this one does not deserve its three fireplaces rating. We have stayed here three times and each time there has been some disappointment. We have certainly not experienced the Logis three fireplaces "concentration of pleasure and special little touches, always done with style, the art of hospitality". This time we had booked one of the more expensive (though still quite small) rooms on the ground floor of the annex, with terrace. It was one of the hottest days of the year and we soon discovered that the door to the terrace, the only way of getting fresh air, had had its moustiquaire removed. (The remaining fixings indicated that if it had not been removed there would have been no access to the terrace!) As there was no air-conditioning, not even a fan, and the room was small, I pointed out the lack of moustiquaire and air-con to the owner and explained that as the room overlooked the river just 100 metres away, we could not sleep with the door open without attracting insects. Instead of apologising for this fault, and offering a solution such as a fan, he immediately went on the defensive and said neither moustiquaires nor air-conditioning were obligatory for a two-star hotel, and as previous guests had removed the moustiquaires he wasn't going to bother repairing them. (What kind of 2-star hotel is this, where the guests rip out the moustiquaires? In fact, I suspect all the ground-floor rooms have had their moustiquaires deliberately removed by the owner in order to give access to the terraces.) Eventually he grudgingly switched us to an even smaller room on the first floor (at the same price) which did have moustiquaires. The dinner was good though not exceptional. The quantity and quality of the food at breakfast was excellent, though the coffee would taste better with fresh rather than longlife milk. The quality of the food and the charm of the setting of the hotel do not offset the smallness of the rooms, the cramped bathrooms and minuscule toilets, and the attitude of the management. The owner is obviously happier as a chef than as an hotelier, and it shows. We shan't stay here again.

Hôtel propre accueil sympathique cadre agréable idéal pour une escale.

Easy to find, close to the motorway, on site parking, good value, good quality with welcoming and helpful staff. A charming country hotel on the banks of the Isere with a very good restaurant. Perfect in every way for a stopover while driving across this part of France. Dogs accepted and a footpath along the riverbank providing wonderful walks through the agricultural area that surrounds the hotel. Room was comfortable, small but adequate as were the ensuite shower room and (seperate) toilet. We had a terrace room which picturesque outlook gave beauitful view of the river. Dinner was very good indeed in terms of both value and quality as was the breakfast. Would stay here again and highly recommend this hotel, although being so close to a river may bring problems on a summer evening.

We booked on the Logis website this quirky hotel on the banks of the river. It was difficult to find but the GPS and Google maps eventually got us there. We arrived at around 7pm to check-in and were given some great rooms in one of the several buildings that make up the hotel. My wife and I have chosen a room looking towards the river. We had a patio/balcony. Rooms were clean an tidy. Bathrooms were small but functional and clean. Separate toilet was typically French but useful. Our daughters had a room upstairs which was also of good quality and had a view towards the river just above us. We booked a table for dinner and were treated to an evening of great dinning. The food was excellent and well priced. Breakfast next day was a good selection of continental favourites. This was ideal preparation for our journey onwards to Cannes. Would recommend this quirky and out of the way hotel.

Hotel très sympa à l'écart des routes habituelles. Dîner délicieux. Très bon rapport qualité prix. Accueil chaleureux.

Bon rapport qualité/prix. Chambre peu spatieuse mais correcte .Une possibilité de se restaurer sur place avec une carte gastronomique. Idéal pour quelques jours...
