"Great staff and riad"

8.0

My friend and I had a great stay at this riad. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I felt like I was staying at a friend's home. I would highly recommend and go back. The location was also good too. We found it easy to get to where we wanted to walk.

"Wonderful stay at Riad Asna"

8.0

Enjoyed a great few days at the Riad Asna. Beautiful facility just off the busy hustle and bustle of the medina. Veronique is a great host and her staff is super nice. Have dinner there if you can- delicious and worth it. We also had Veronique arrange our airport transport which was also worth it. Breakfast times were flexible based on your needs and you can eat in the courtyard (under the heat lamp this week!) or on the rooftop terrace. I would have liked to spend more time up there but it was a bit chilly at night. Bed and linens were comfortable, but there are no doors on the bathrooms so that might be weird depending on who you are with. Great wifi, quiet rooms, delicious tea.

"Beautiful Riyad and outstanding service"

10.0

We stayed for 4 days at Riyad Asna on the last leg of our trip to Morocco in October of 2003. It was my wife and I with our then 3 year old daughter. The place was wonderful and impeccably clean as it was very new then. Pictures indicate they have kept up in 10 years. It was walking distance from Jama al'Fina as well as the mosque and other landmarks. We didn't need a tour guide, unlike in Fes and Tangier, because staff willingly helped us in sightseeing. The staff arranged rides to the airport and came with us to pick/drop us too. The staff, especially Mohammed, were incredibly helpful. They made sure that we weren't fleeced by local shop keepers too. Strongly recommend a riyad experience when in Morocco and if in Marakesh, Riyad Asna is perfect and reasonable family place.

"Simple and fabulous"

10.0

We had a great stay at Riad Asna located in a busy section of the Medina. It was a nice reprieve from the bustle outside which we also really enjoyed. It is not far from the main square...a 10-15minute walk, but a good meander through the streets. Veronique is an amazing host and so were all the staff. Good conversation and lots of info on where to go. She sent us to an amazing hamman located close by and a fine restaurant for dinner with a view over the rooftops. Beautiful! Upon request she sent a driver to the train station to pick us up. It was worth the extra cost which I thought was very reasonable. The Riad is very simple, chic and tastefully decorated. I liked the small details. Wifi was excellent.

"Beautifull place. Definately worth a stay!"

8.0

TOP: It was great staying at the Riad. We loved the atmosphere of the crowded Medina, the smoke, little scooters, monkey trailers. The mix of old and young, modern and fiercely religious. The hassle, the business, colors and filtered light. Just meters away the peace and beauty of what feels home for the duration of the stay. We loved it. Veronique upgraded the room from The Leila Room to the (bigger?) Narjis Room. Beautiful too. During the sometimes very cool nights the air conditioner luckily served as heater too. Great! TIP: We would encourage Veronique to change to a less sparse and more exciting breakfast. It was a exactly the same every day and - to be honest - too much like a French Breakfast than what we would expect in a country with that many tastes and fresh goods (fruit, dairy etc) like Marocco. Finally, the capacity of the heating of the shower did not measure up against the (only) 50% filled use by the guests of the Riad. Maybe in summer not that bad, but after the cold January nights a HOT shower is just a necessity! All in all a great place. We definitely recommend it to everyone!

"Superb Staff and Pretty Riad"

8.0

I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised by how little hassle I faced in Marrakech. I loved the location of this pretty Riad-in the authentic souk where locals buy vegetables and meat. The streets are spotless and we felt safe wandering around until late at night. Its a 10 min walk through the souks to the main square and frankly a welcome walk after heavy meals. The riad has a beautiful small plunge pool which would be priceless in the summer. The dinner served was superb. The staff-Hassan in particular-were wonderful.Hassan,an intelligent and kindly Berber had many interesting insights into Moroccon life.He was great with the children too, playing cards with us until late into the night. The rooms are a little dark but this is typically Riad-esque and Im sure welcome in the height of summer. Food tip-Fantastic cookery course at Souk Cuisine-great for adults and children and the best way to get to know the souks as the locals do. Lunch-order Mechoui near the main square-the roasted lamb-served with bread, salt and cumin. Not for the faint hearted but the best lamb i have tasted.Souk Cuisine will show you where it is.

"Lovely"

10.0

Lovely Riad, very nice atmosphere. Staff is great. Stayed with six guys on a golf trip and we found it a little hard to walk through the Medina with our golf bags on our backs, since people are quite poor. Didn't get hassled at all through. Food was great. Rooms beautifull. Found the beds a little uncomfy but that's personal taste i guess. Would definately stay here again..

"Surprising place to stay!"

The way to the Riad immediately shows in what poverty people in the Medina live. The Riad provided all you wish for. Superb service and help was offered by the staff! We enjoyed our stay and we highly recommend a visit to this relaxing house.

"Excellent"

10.0

Top riad in Marrakech The staff were amazing, very friendly and helpful, really made us feel at home. Even though our flight was late they still provided dinner (which was delicious) on our first night. On the day of our departure we could have continued using our room beyond our check-out time but it had been booked by other guests so they gave us the use of a different room for showering etc. until our departure. Nothing was too much trouble; as soon as we appeared on the terrace we were given free soft drinks or tea, sometimes without even asking and breakfast was whenever we got up. The incredible team made our stay perfect and we can't wait to go back
