In accordance with the latest regulations issued by the Indonesian Ministry of Forestry, please be informed that all visitors to West Bali National Park are required to pay an entrance fee as follows: • International Visitor & KITAS Holder IDR 200,000 per person/per day • Indonesian Nationals: IDR 20,000 per person/per day on normal days IDR 30,000 per person/per day on Sundays and Public Holidays For staying guests, the entrance fee will be calculated based on the number of nights stay. Representatives from West Bali National Park are stationed at the entrance gate to assist guests with the payment process. Payment may be made directly to the authorized officer upon arrival. Alternatively, the fee may be charged to the guest’s room account and settled upon departure from the resort.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation. Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. omgeving is werkelijk prachtig. Overal waar we reden of wandelden kwamen we aapjes tegen, en tot onze verrassing zagen we zelfs hertjes op het strand, dat was echt bijzonder en uniek. De natuur rondom het resort is zonder twijfel het grootste pluspunt en geeft een echt ‘ver weg van alles’-gevoel. We verbleven in een beach villa en de bedden waren ontzettend comfortabel en heerlijk groot, wat zorgde voor fijne nachten. Daarnaast was het personeel erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam; de service voelde warm en oprecht.

Wat ons enorm tegenviel, waren de prijzen binnen het resort. Ik ben eerlijk gezegd verbaasd dat dit zo weinig wordt benoemd in andere reviews. Alles was minimaal vier keer zo duur als elders op Bali. Omdat het resort vrij afgelegen ligt en je zonder eigen vervoer niet eenvoudig buiten de deur kunt eten, ben je vrijwel verplicht om binnen het resort te blijven en dus ook die hoge prijzen te betalen. Nog teleurstellender was dat de kwaliteit van het eten absoluut niet in verhouding stond tot de prijs. De porties waren klein (muv het ontbijt) en de kwaliteit was simpelweg niet goed, zeker niet van het niveau dat het resort zelf pretendeert. Dit gold helaas ook voor andere services zoals massages en excursies: extreem duur en het geld absoluut niet waard. Daarnaast maakte het resort een enigszins vervallen indruk. Dit was zichtbaar in de meubels, het houtwerk en de staat van de villa’s. Voor mij is dit een voorbeeld van een resort dat op deze manier niet gaat overleven. Er zal echt structureel geïnvesteerd moeten worden om mee te gaan met de tijd en de verwachtingen die bij dit prijsniveau horen. Uiteindelijk hebben wij besloten om na twee nachten alweer te vertrekken, mede vanwege de buitensporig hoge kosten voor werkelijk alles. Bali biedt zó veel prachtige, rustige en luxe plekken waar je voor een normaal bedrag veel meer kwaliteit krijgt. Persoonlijk zou ik dit resort alleen aanraden aan mensen van 50+ die vooral rust zoeken en niet zo actief meer zijn. Ben je jonger, wil je kwaliteit voor je geld en een meer dynamische Bali-ervaring, dan zou ik dit resort eerlijk gezegd overslaan.
