B & B Auf dem Wolf, St. Jakob

Helga was an absolute star!!! She was really hospitable and very, very helpful (I suffered with toothache while there and she went out of her way to get something from the chemist for me to alleviate the pain!) The level of service and how she helped was second to none and the way we were made to feel at home was superb. I can't speak highly enough of this place and the accessibility for us for where we needed to go was great. Nothing was too much trouble!

Helga is a great hostess. She runs a really wonderful B & B. She and her husband are welcoming and made us feel right at home. Helga offered a great European breakfast every morning. She and her husband are both very artistic and so interesting to talk with. Helga is very knowledgeable about Basel and offered us so many suggestions about things to do and see. The B & B is within walking distance of the Basel futbol stadium. Catch a game if you can. The tram is so close, and we were able to easily travel around the city. This was a wonderful experience for me, my wife, and our son. We will stay here again.

Helga was very nice. She mailed my swiss army knife home for me, since I was not going to be able to take it on the plane. The room was very comfortable, and the shower/tub was good. She made a very big breakfast for us, and has lots of homemade jams to go on the bread.

We were lucky in that the annual 2-month festivals were starting during our visit. Everything in this wonderful city was easily accessible by the fast, clean, efficient trams.
