City Square Motel

Blink and you'll miss the entry off the main street, through a glass door, very hidden in a sense. You walk down a hallway to a small reception with one person. He was odd, didn't make much eye contact or say many words, just the bare minimum required things to say. Not overly impressive when you walk into the room. Sufficient for one person, but I got this creepy vibe while there. Bathroom is relatively maintained, no damage, cracks or peeling, but the cleaning is lacking. Needs a scrub around grouting of shower with some dirt and possible mold starting. Sheets are clean but it has one of those minimal blanket covers in between acting as a thin quilt. Pillow is small. Mattress itself feels fine. Slept well as it's a very quiet room. No noise which is amazing for where it's located. I was hesitant about returning later in the evening at one point, because it is accessed with a code, however the glass door closes very slowly and it seems people can easily just walk in behind you. I don't feel completely safe staying there on my own, even though everything turned out fine. With others would be fine. They have a tv, microwave which was really handy, safe, fridge, hairdryer, kettle. All things that are useful. Dusty around edges of carpet in room. Air conditioner works, but somewhat noisy. Turned it off later as it was a mild night anyway and didn't need it. Cannot open windows at all for any outside air, so your well and truly in one little box. Hallway lighting on floors feels dull.

The first room we got had a tv that didn't work and a spilt system that didn't work went and told them and they new the tv didn't work but still let's people rent that room with broken tv we had a family room and got down grader to a smaller room my son had to sleep on couch

Close to everything I needed. It was quiet in my room, no busy street noise.

The room was dirty, Bed uncomfortable, old, had a dip in the middle. Bathroom- bath was disgusting! Toaster dirty, I had to clean it! Fridge not very cold, freezer frozen over. Nothing like the nice pictures on the site!

No towels, no bath mat, I don’t even believe it was cleaned before we checked in. Room smelt really bad and the whole property seems like a hazard.

The room was fine. It was clean enough and the bed was comfortable enough.

The bathroom could be cleaner. There was no bathroom demister of any kind. I tried opening the window to let the shower steam out, but was unable to do so because the mold in the window frame prevented the window from sliding down. Cleaning once a month (or two) would fix this. Also, although it did not bother me, I was in a room right on Swanson Street and the sounds of people and the trams was a constant until late. A room away from the street would be more suitable for those who cannot ignore noise.
