Mrs Chryssana Beach Hotel

Great hotel offering very tasty meals,great location for those who want to escape city rush,nice pool with a beautiful view of the see.Very helpful and knowledgeable staff.Rooms are very clean.

quite place and very relaxing, the food or all extras of the hotel were not wow- but totally good. this hotel is just if you need to relax and do as little as possible.

We loved the hotel and were made to feel at home by all the staff. It was an excellent experience; surpassing all our expectations. Picturesque grounds, spotless all around. The beach is 100 yard across the road, but is a pebble beach. I recommend jelly shoes as the stones are quite painful to walk over. Excellent restaurant next door (Thalassino Ageri) with friendly owner Marianna and brilliant staff Ioanna. Delicious food!!!

The hotel is located on the outskirts of village with a short 10 minute walk to lovely beech side tavernas. We recommend Edem, great plate's full and an excellent host and very attentative service. The hotel was perfect with a great choice at breakfast and poolside drinks and snacks marvellous. We hired a car for a couple of day's and visited beaches at Elafonisi, Plantanos and Sfinari which although very busy were beautiful. Lake Kournas is another must see, where you can hire pedalo's and when we went it was very peaceful. Busses (stop 2 minute walk) are roughly every 1/2 hour to Plantanias / Agia Marina and Chania is a great service to see the sites. Beaches at Plantanias and Agia Marina are sandier than Kolymbari.

The hotel was nice, clean and close to Kolimbari. The pool was very nice. Nice hotel to relax and have as a base for exploring the west part of Crete!

This is a hotel for pure relaxation. Very nice pool area close to a pebble beach just a thirty second walk away. The ambience around the pool is relaxing with music and sea and mountain views. The only negative thing about the pool area is that there are not enough sun beds for everyone and certain people get up at the crack of dawn to reserve beds. The choice of food was a little limited and the nearest tavernas are about 15 minutes walk away. If you want complete relaxation this is the place for you.

A quiet holiday in a lovely hotel and peaceful surroundings, exactly what we wanted. All the staff are very helpful and friendly. We would return to this hotel and recommend to anyone wanting this type of holiday.

Quality of local dishes in restaurant can be inproved

This was a perfect place and just what we were looking for, not wanting to be caught in the "tourist trap" of a busy resort. The quality of the hotel was great, the garden and pool area were well laid out and well looked after, they could have done with a few more sun beds. It was late season when we stayed but in the height of the summer it may be lacking. The public areas were nice however there was not much incentive to stay around the hotel in the evenings. The rooms were well maintained and very clean, daily maid service and clean towels every day. A short 15 min stroll and you find the seafront tavernas with a good choice of food options. Go the other way out of the hotel and a 5min walk to the nearest supermarket and the local buses to explore the island further.

The hotel personnel where wonderful. However, the bath was the smallest we had ever seen and the maid service kept forgetting to leave soap and shampoo. However, all in all we had a great stay.
