Great value rooms with all mod cons....A/C worked silently and the bathroom was as good as any used in China. Bidette was a nice comforting experience but start on low temperatures and adjust upwards to avoid a sting in the tail if you see what I mean. Well worth the half an hour out of central Shanghai but with Metro station just 10 minutes by taxi, and straight into Yuyuan or Xintiandi or Nangjing Toad East, you can enjoy the clean, quiet and well appointed hotel offerings. I would definitely stay here again whether for business or pleasure. The swim pool was top notch in water quality and accessories for hygiene.

The Crowne Plaza is a very clean and comfortable hotel. It is set nearby a really lovely lake which is great to walk around. The hotel is a low rise, with some rooms a reasonable walk to the reception and restaurant. Good wi fi and a range of TV channels.The buffet breakfast had a good range which was replenished regularly. It is a long way from downtown Shanghai. It was a very quiet location.

Rooms are clean and comfortable, good wi-fi. Breakfast was excellent and they have a coffee machine. This hotel is in wings so its a bit of a walk to the dining room. If you want to swim in the pool you will need a swimming cap. The lake is great for a walk and there are many eating places and a supermarket across the road. This hotel is quite a way out of the city.

Beautifully clean and comfortable rooms with bathtub. Staff were absolutely lovely and very helpful. Breakfast was an amazing buffet of Eastern and Western foods and the coffee was amazing. There is a mini zoo out the back with goats, peacocks and pigs which was great, but the two times we went to visit there was no water visible for them to drink. Out the back of the hotel are lovely gardens fenced off from a beautiful lake with walkway all around it. Supermarket and great choice of restaurants nearby! Absolutely would stay again!!

Strategic locations and there is a plaza nearby. Breakfast is good with many selections. Near lake where you can jog in the morning.

This hotel is located at next to beautiful lake, has beutiful garden and good facility. They take care of the hotel facility too.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. There was free Wifi which kept me connected. Though the property was very far from where I had to be, it had a plaza nearby where I was able to get some chinese snacks and other items.

This hotel was for a business trip and worked out well as it was closer to the office. The hotel is top notch, great facilities and some great kid themed rooms and even a little mini zoo. There are a few more things in the area like a small shopping area that closes at 10 PM but this hotel is not near the city center.

Having been booked into this hotel by my company I was excited to stay at Crowne Plaza, Qingpu. It was a colossal let down. Even the simplest request was reinvention of the wheel with reception and telephone staff bordering on obstructive. Please can you fill my minibar - eventually filled after 4 requests on my second night. Room service at 3am on the first night - sorry we don’t have half the items on the very limited room service menu. And called back 20 minutes after ordering to tell me that. Room service at 2am on the second night - sorry we can’t help you... the machine in the kitchen is broken down. Laundry - sorry we can’t bring to your room until you pay... I’m here for 5 nights, do you think I’m going to leave town...? When I tried to pay in the room I had to accompany the laundry service to reception as she did not have change of CNY200 for a CNY140 bill. Breakfast - very poor quality. Limp and soggy pastries and over cooked meat. Though the staff were very attentive. Cafe in the lobby - mostly not manned. When I went to reception to ask if I could purchase a drink I was told there was a mall over the road as staff were not available to serve in the cafe. The security man guarding access to the elevators, asleep in his seat on at least 3 of the nights that I went to my room after 11pm and not once was I challenged regards my room card before accessing the elevators. For heaven’s sake this is supposed to be a 4* hotel - should this really be happening...? My advice if staying in Qingpu area, stay somewhere else. This hotel may be called Crowne Plaza, but it is by a distance the worst example of this brand that I have stayed in.
