Absolutely stunning as are many Pestana hotels. This one in the portfolio is exceptional. Classy, peaceful, set on the harbour amongst lovely restaurants & shops & a 5 minute gentle stroll to the gorgeous Cascais town. The best thing is that this is a large fortress now turned into a luxury hotel & also a living, breathing art installation. Add to that brilliant staff & fantastic facilities!

Breakfast with a view! Amazing breakfast, lots of choices and freshly made omelettes! Accommodated an early check in (requested well in advance). Friendly helpful staff, great location, wish we had stayed more than one night!

Stunning historical hotel in a perfect location . Superb breakfast . Lots of amenities . Comfortable bed.

The air conditioning seemed to not be working. It didn’t impact us but friends who had balcony glass doors found it very uncomfortable at night as it reached 27 degrees in the room . Both pools are advertised as heated but they are extremely cold . Three tea bags in the room - one English breakfast , one herbal and one green . Not much good for a couple who both want English breakfast . Please put out more tea bags .

The location, near the town and the marina. The breakfast finished at 11 am and the checkout time was 12 noon. Brilliant!

The layout of the furniture in the room. There was little room for moving around..layout could have been better.

Beautiful hotel in fantastic location. The staff were very obliging and the food was very good. Facilities were superb , especially the outdoor pool hidden away in a secret garden. Fab views from dining room and pool

The shower over the bath is not ideal and was hard to regulate
