"Ok hotel for a night or two to visit meteors."

6.0

Hotel is in a good location to visit meteors and beds are ok. This being said, the walls are thin and everything is dated. Rooms smelled of stale cigaret and damp due to air conditioning. A lot of small things are broken or damaged (shower fan, light, sink moving,...) but they do state you can ask them to fix it... Finally breakfast need to be ordered the day before as they can't accommodate you the same day. Disappointing service but tbh the breakfast didn't look great, we had a great bugatsa next door!

"Great location, great view from room."

6.0

Booked 5/27-5/29. This hotel is older and in need of updating, however the owners were very gracious and informative. The room are very clean and the view from my room of Meteora was breathtaking. Great location, walking distance to good restaurants. Easy drive to monasteries. I would definitely book again if opportunity presented itself.

"Perfect!"

10.0

We had a great time at hotel King. It was very easy to find and conveniently located on the main road. We were very kindly greeted and our host was very keen to inform us on what to do aroud Kalambaka and all the transporation issues we had. The room was very nice and clean. We were comfortable and liked the addition of a couch. We felt cozy and the view...! So nice with our own balcony. It was perfect.

"Prepares you for Meteora"

8.0

First the bad: No breakfast and no elevator (but you will be climbing up to monasteries anyway). Breakfast place across street was also closed, early in tourist season. Then the decent: room was clean and comfortable, view of monasteries could probably have been way better if not for the clouds and rain, still I think it was worth the extra cost to sit on balcony and watch the cliffs pop in and out of the mist.

"Cheap, basic and clean"

6.0

Clean room, hot water, but very basic (no kettle, hairdryer, bedside lamp, tv remote, one pillow) and the heating was noisy and sporadic, walls very thin, thin curtains that let in some light but I was only there to sleep which, once the heating worked, I did, very well.

"Kraker"

8.0

Good hotel for price. Great location with good wifi. Shower was a bit silly as shower curtain was to long which covered the drain which in turn flooded shower floor. Overall good value

"Great host/hostess"

10.0

The hotel is right on the main strip of Kalampaka. I have to say the reviews on here are unfairly harsh, and totally misrepresent the place. I thought the hotel was in great condition, the decor was nice and plush, the room was clean, both the staff i met were incredibly nice (spontaneously gave me a brief rundown of everything i needed to know about visiting the town without me having to ask a single question, walked me to the room, always had a smile, always asked about my day). Anyways, this is a great value and I had a great experience. I didn't do breakfast so I can't comment on that.

"Nice hotel close to all amenities"

8.0

I enjoyed my stay at Hotel King. I could see the cliffs of Meteora from my hotel room window. Dan, the proprietor, and his wife are always around to provide information of the area. Since I had shown an interest in hiking up to the monasteries from town, Dan showed me on the map the more preferable trails. He also pointed out some of the trails leading to ruins that were less frequented by tourists.
