Lovely stay in a gorgeous area, walking distance from Bowness, good breakfast and nice owners

Enjoyed our stay was in walking distance of the main town friendly and helpful staff The room was clean and fresh bed was comfortable we are a tall couple and the bed in the larger room was ideal breakfast was very good and plenty of choices enjoyed our stay

We had a really nice 3 night stay at St John’s Lodge, lovely comfortable room, fantastic breakfast with plenty to choose from, great hosts, only a short walk to restaurants and shops, I would highly recommend staying at this little gem in Windermere , thanks for making are stay so fantastic

3 nights at St Johns Lodge. The Host was very helpful. Explained everything we needed to know, as well as offering info about the wider area. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic. More than enough options. All tastes catered for. High level of cooking and presentation. All staff we met dutlring our stay were polite and very efficient. Absolutely no complaints. From to start to finish excellent service . Room comfy clean.even little fridge in room to house fresh daily milk. Breakfasts out of this world 24 cooked items to choose from. Vegan/vegetarian too. Cereals. Fruit. Juices. 20 mins walk from Windermere lake. And restaurants about 20 opposite direction. Access to off site leisure facility with 15m pool, jacuzzi, sauna & steam room. If u feel energetic gym room too.if u fancied a massage they do these at extra costs. Owner Rich was very helpful. If you wanted flowers or choc for special occasions he can help arrange that. We would highly recommend this place

On arrival, Rich welcomed us and ran through everything we needed to know for our stay by running through the welcome pack. There was a wee bit of confusion with the payment but it was quickly resolved with no further issues. The B&B was in a fab location as it is a 10 minute walk from Windermere and Bowness-on-Windermere, both of which are great with plenty of restaurant choices. The breakfast was brilliant with plenty of choice! They're big portions so it'll definitely set you up for a day of exploring! The room was clean and had everything we needed for chilling out after a day of exploring. The only negative for me was that the bed and pillows were a wee bit hard but that's just me! The room was quiet and everything else was fab! I ordered a bottle of prosecco for arrival for my husband's birthday and it was set out on the bed for us with towels made into swans for us arriving in the room which was a lovely touch. We would definitely stay here again in future as it was in an ideal location, had everything we needed and the hosts were very attentive and overall fab. Thank you!!

Excellent B&B in great location between Bowness and Windermere. Really good breakfast in a well run professional business with a high level of customer service.

The owners are fabulous. Very friendly and helpful. Room was super clean and had everything you need for a short stay. Toiletries, tea, coffee etc, fridge, hairdryer. Breakfast was superb, lots of variety, fresh and high quality products. From hot to cold , fantastic selection. Customer service above and beyond! Location fantastic, walking distance to restaurants, lake and shops. I Highly recommended staying there. I will definitely come back :) Thank you Rich and Ada for making our stay very pleasant.
