"Stella and George at castello are the best"

We have been to Stalis numerous times and stayed in quite a few different apartments, all very nice but the welcome awaiting you at the Castello from stella and her son george is exceptional, they cant do enough for you and are so happy and pleasant it really does kick your holiday off to a great start, the location is great too, just a 4 or 5 minate walk down to the main strip and the beach, you do have to cross a main road to get there but it is never to busy, a great stay, thankyou so much to stella and george.

There was nothing we didnt like.

George (Son) and Stella (Mum) were superbly friendly hosts and always happy to help. The Appts were on the main road easy to find, excellent for backpackers and lighter travellers if you're doing it all separately like I did. On the main road bus route to and from Heraklion airport which was only 4 euros. Incredible value if you're looking for a budget friendly getaway.

The mattress were a little too firm for my liking.

Great location - walking distance to the beach, Main Street of town and laundromat. Room had a really good view and the area could still be quiet enough for sleeping. Hosts were friendly and accomodating. You have the option to use the pool at Hotel Filia directly across the road

Attention to detail when cleaning could be better
