Amed Cafe & Hotel Kebun Wayan

I had Agung View rm 2 - an older beachfront room over the restaurant. Could be lovely but maintenance and staff education/supervision lacking. Smelly drains, broken furniture, fridge never restocked. All issues resolved promptly but drains smelled again next day, broken day bed simply remade until I demanded a repair. All staff happy and agreeable but I gave up on the fridge!

As we walked around the hotel staff members were consistently trying to sell us things. Getting hawked on the street is one thing as it's common all over south east Asia, it's really annoying when it's a hotel you are already paying for.

Solid place to stay by the beach in Amed. Loved that there was an outside patio that was private and furnished. Wish the AC was stronger. Otherwise, it was a lovely placeto stay (amount of windows are awesome in a corner unit)

L'hôtel propose un grand choix de divertissement: navettes dans les autres villages, restaurant au bord de la plage, il y a deux piscines et diving center. Perso on a pas choisi celui ci car j'ai dû négocier les prix au téléphone avec le patron et je trouve pas cette démarche très commerciale. Après on nous ai dit que c'est une filiale de plus gros centre de plongée sur Amed donc peut être peu les emportent deux plongeurs de plus ou moins. Par contre le personnel à l'hôtel très très accueillant et à l'écoute. Le seul point négatif c'est les taxi mans devant l'hôtel qui matin midi et soir veulent t'emmener quelque part.... Mais bon c'est partout pareil

The breakfast was great and the staff are exceedingly friendly - though you get the impression they're always looking for an in to sell you something. I had booked a fan room and arrived to learn it didn't have hot water. Fortunately a friend had decided to join me so we upgraded to a room double the cost. We saw the fan room and a lower cost A/C room and they smelled musty. Our room was clean, though the towels were dingy grey. The biggest "feature" of this room is that it had frosted glass doors between the room and the outside as well as between the room and the bathroom. What's more, there was a panel of frosted glass between the bathroom and the outside!! My friend happened to be of the opposite gender so it was interesting - but not as uncomfortable as the feeling that somebody from the outside could be looking in when you shower at night and you'd never know. I was happy when I saw the shower curtain that would block the direct view so I pulled it across only to find out it was sheer! A previous reviewer had mentioned a "design flaw" with the glass in the bathroom; I don't see how this could have been anything but intentional. Also, we had a large window overlooking the street and when we looked out, men offering us transport pointed to their cars. Needless to say we kept the curtains closed, sadly blocking the beautiful light.

Great place to stay if you want to dive or snorkle. Good was good too. The town isn't very walkable, no sidewalk, walked the beach, that was nice. Easy transport to the Gili Islands!!

Mycket prisvärd vistelse. Vi fick å andra sidan ett av de bättre rummen - våra kompisar testade det rum som var en prisklass ner och hade en skräckupplevelse. Dålig täckning på wifi. Området är bra om man vill dyka och nästan bara därför.

We got Puri Ental 1 in the back. Very beautiful room with glass doors on 2 sides and quite private. It is next to the beautiful huge pool and has partial view of the ocean. It has huge balcony with hammock too. The whole compound is beautiful, lush and well taken care of. There is no TV in the room, and FYI there are many steps to get to this side, so probably not suitable for seniors. But they hv other rooms. We met the owner and he was super nice. All the staff were also super nice. Feels like we are friends. Will definitely stay here again if we come to Amed. Thank you.

Super Service, absolut liebenswertes Personal, tolle Anlage

Excellent location, right in the centre of Amed. The room was lovely and with own private balcony. Pool area is excellent and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room did not have a fridge or T.V but I don't think any of the accommodation in Amed does. Would thoroughly recommend it.
