"Exceptional"

10.0

Best hotel/hostel I've ever stayed in for the money. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Very Clean. Quiet. Kinda far from downtown but taxis are easy and cheap if you know which ones to get. Id recommend this to everyone and plan on staying here if ever find myself in lima again.

"Wonderful Stay at La Casa de Blanca"

10.0

We spent one night at La Casa de Blanca, and it was a wonderful experience. It is located an easy 20 minutes from the airport in an old and somewhat run-down, but safe neighborhood. This bed-and-breakfast is run by a delightful family, and they made feel as though we were part of the family. The day after our arrival they treated us to a "Peruvian Welcome", which consisted of an hour or so of music and singing. We would definitely stay there again if we ever return to Lima.

"Excellent service- made us feel very at home!"

8.0

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights and we were very pleased with the accommodations. We arrived after midnight since it was a late flight, and we were upgraded to a room with a little kitchenette at no extra charge, which was a nice surprise. The woman who runs the hotel and her daughter were welcoming and went out of their way to provide recommendations for things to see in Lima with directions the following morning. A nice breakfast was included both mornings (eggs, Peruvian bread, coffee, bananas, etc.). The room was a nice size with a TV. The sights of Lima were about a 30-40 minute bus ride from this hotel. We had to balance proximity to both the sights of Lima as well as the airport, so that is part of the reason why we picked this hotel. The bus ride is cheap, but the driving in Peru is crazy, so be prepared for an adventure! The only complaints would be that there were a few strands of hair on the bed when we pulled back the top blanket. The sheets themselves were clean- probably just stuck to the blanket which I'm sure does not get washed after every guest (just like comforters in hotels don't get washed after every guest in the US). Also, the hot water is limited. One day we showered with no problems, but the other day it ran out mid-shower. Overall, a great stay and a very nice welcome to Peru!

"Comfortable, family-run, and professional"

10.0

We stayed for two nights, and were greeted by Manuel at the airport, and Blanca at the house, even after our plane was 2 hours late. The staff (family members) is friendly and professional. Our breakfast was tasty and relaxing, and provided even when we had to fly to Cusco early in the morning. Showers were hot, beds firm and comfortable. The experience was like an authentic bed and breakfast, not like a hotel, and we were introduced to the friendliness of Peruvians right away. We would stay here again!

"Did not get a good nights sleep"

4.0

Sadly our stay did not meet the purposes required. We chose to book at Lynik b/c we had an early flight out to Cusco the next morning. We thought it was good that the hotel offered pick up and drop off options to the airport, since my husband was flying the night of our stay. Blanca was nice and we appreciated her early wake up to make us breakfast; breakfast and morning drop off was fine but the rest was not good. Here were some of the problems: My husband's airport pick up was 45 min late. The bathroom smelled awful, clearly an issue with the pipes. The house was very noisy (probably our biggest issue b/c we just needed a night of sleep) - other guest were coming in and we could hear every conversation super loudly - this place just won't work unless you can sleep through everything. There seem to be a couple of other places that offer a similar type of service, so I recommend that you try there instead.

"Great overnight near airport"

8.0

We got into Lima late, so we were grateful for the hotel shuttle service, even though it was a little pricey. Good location not far from the airport. The family running the hotel really made us feel welcome. Rooms were basic, and we didn't have enough hot water for showers, but the street was pretty quiet. Awesome intro to Peru.

"Lovely people, terrible location"

Staff were amazing. So nice and accommodating. Unfortunately this hotel is miles away from all the great things that Lima has to offer.

"Bed&Breakfast, that's it"

4.0

I feel sorry that I need to review it this way but I need to be fair. There is no question that Blanca and the staff was very cooperative and helpful but it doesn't change the fact that this is not a 2.5 Star. The room was extremely basic, no space what so ever to hang our clothes neither in bathroom nor in the room. No closest and/or hooks. bed sheets were very thin and you could see the mattress underneath and the mattress was also uncomfortable. The rate was not that low compared to other choices. I had stayed in Miraflores before in much nicer real 2.5 star hotel with similar rate. I stayed here coz of being closed to the airport as we were there just for a few hours this time. It costs 35 Pesos, if you pre arrange a taxi. We took the taxi back from the street which cost 20 Pesos but it took us 10 minutes to get one as most taxis from street didn't want to go to the airport. TIP: don't bother renting a car in Lima, extremely rough/crazy traffic/drivers.

"A wonderful place close to the Airport"

10.0

A wonderful place. Affordable, clean, safe and located close to the Airport. Mrs Blanca made us feel at home. We were welcomed with some Peruvian folk music and we enjoyed some Pisco Sour. Thanks for making us feel part of your family. I will definitely be back next time I travel to Peru.
