Sleep Inn & Suites Haysville - Wichita South

Came in here on a trip to see family, Normally we stay in downtown but we were tying to get out of town quick so stayed here at the edge of town. It was suprising nice. Quite right off the highway, A subway right down the road.

First off, I want to say that I would absolutely stay here again if in the area and looking for a quick overnight. The location is extremely convenient, the price is good, the rooms are clean. We were in town for one brief event, so we spent little time in our room. On check in, we were very impressed by the woman at the front desk. She was very friendly and welcoming. We received a room on the first floor at the end of the hallway, which also allowed quick access out a side door. The room was clean and up to date. The bed was comfortable, the ac (heat) worked great and was not noisy at all. We did not really intend on spending much time at breakfast - for one, we were trying to eat "fairly" healthy, and also, we were trying to get out of town quickly the following morning. We were very happy with the breakfast choices - yes, they had the standard hotel fare, but they had some nice healthy yogurt, bananas that were in excellent shape and didn't look like they had been through a wringer, and also boiled eggs. Our only reluctance at breakfast was that coffee came out of a vending machine of sorts that dispensed various options. We were hoping for more standard fresh coffee. Admittedly, though, the machine coffee was actually much better than we expected. For the price, I cannot really complain, although for the sake of feedback, I'll put a couple of things here. 1) When we were turned from our event, at about 10 pm, there were virtually no parking spots available. There *were* some spots, but they were reserved for "diamond club" members. Our only other option was to park in a dark area behind the building, far from our room, and that was not very appealing. We ended up parking in the diamond club space. I'm not sure it's worth having those spaces if they aren't utilized and it makes others park a long ways from their room. 2) The water in the shower was hot, but the shower head was not great. It had 3 settings and none of them were any good, so that would be a cheap improvement to the room. 3) This was probably just an oversight, but while our room was stocked just fine, it only had 1 bar of soap to use, which had to be shared between the sink and the shower. There was also not a body wash in the shower. Again, I would totally stay at this location again. I will note that it is very near the interstate, so while it was not excessively noisy, light sleepers may have some difficulty, but for the price, it's a good place to stay.

This property was very clean, the staff was friendly, and the bed was extra comfortable. Breakfast was tasty and hot. Easy access to the turnpike.
