Hyatt Place Riverside Downtown

I did not enjoy my stay here. The wifi was down the entire time I was there, the staff did not seem to care about that fact much either. My coffee maker was broken, and the showerhead was so far to one side that I kept hitting my arms on the wall as i was trying to get clean. The thermostat "reset itself" according to staff, it was set at 65 when I left, returned to the heat running and the setpoint was 72 degrees. Overall will not be returning to this location again.

Sofa bed helped out a lot

The AC unit didn’t work. It was so hot in the room i slept with the Window open and woke up to road rage lol.

The staff were all friendly and helpful

The beds were uncomfortable and squeaky, the WiFi was down our whole stay. I could not sleep due to the noise. Very thin walls and windows

The WiFi was out of the hotel the entire time I was there. I was on business so really not happy about that. One of two elevators was out so long wait times. First room I had was corner king suite. The car noise was way too much at night. Had to move.

Location was great. Booked a corner larger room but when I got to the hotel to check in they said they didn’t know why booking allowed me to book it since it was not available.

My car was the only one that got bombed my bird poop!

Street noise was loud. Broken elevator. Only one working and it ran slow. To use the stairs, we had to exit the hotel, walk down the side of the building, and enter the back through a filthy door (while homeless people watched us). Parking was convenient. The parking attendants were the BEST!!! So joyful and welcoming. There are homeless people wandering around the hotel and the parking area, but not 'in' the areas; just around the areas. My daughter and I will never stay in this hotel or this area again. Breakfast staff had a hard time keeping the food stocked up. Not all tables were full and many food items were empty or gone from 7:20-8:00am. Toaster not working. Coffee was decent! Room was nice, it was clean. I thought the water closet had really dim lighting. It grossed my daughter and me out. It felt a little creepy showering with such dim lighting. The hotel coffee machine (I brought my own btw) was WAY TOO FAR from the faucet. It was not in a good place to spill water or coffee either. We appreciated the separate areas in the room. The desk area we used. The sofa area was nice for my daughter and her friend while I was in bed snoozing. Even though it is an open layout, it is smart. Lots of lighting choices to turn on or off.

I loved the lay out of the room. The bed had the most comfortable mattress and had a sound sleep. Check in was quick and efficient and the parking attendants made me feel welcome as soon as I pulled into the parking lot. I didn't have time to experience the breakfast although your staff made it clear it was really yummy! The shower as well as the whole room was crisp and clean and felt very homey!

The two things I didn't like was the refrigerator which refused to get cold to chiill my beverages and the TV which would not put on NETFLIX.! Because I never watch regular TV programs the TV was no use to me. Because my room faced the street side of the building there was more noise from cars than I anticipated the whole time. Next time I will know to request for a room not facing the main busy street.
