Hotel San Miguel Menorca

Location was very convenient, near centre of town - 5 minutes easy walk. Hotel is a lovely building, well maintained and clean.

Breakfast was a huge disappointment, there was very little choice, fruits etc were not replenished daily, and then just a few random pastries sat on the counter. No regular tea bags available. The manager - a lovely lady - was the only person running the hotel reception and breakfast, and check-ins and outs. She had no time to prepare toast/eggs etc for breakfast as she was run off her feet. They really need to employ an extra member of staff or two for the mornings.

Das Frühstück bekommt man gegen einen Aufpreis. Es muss vorbestellt werden um Foodwaste zu vermeiden, was zwar eine geniale Idee ist. Jedoch war das Bestellte dann sehr armselig hergerichtet und sehr wenig - vielleicht um der Idee vom foodwaste zu vermeiden nachzugehen? Ein Blättchen Basilikum oder einfach das Ganze etwas hübscher garnieren mit einer Tomatenscheibe oder einer Gurke könnte helfen. Wir konnten dann aber doch noch nachbestellen. Die Ansage, das man dies tun könnte wäre aber gut gewesen. Der Orangensaft ist im Geschmack sehr künstlich und ungeniessbar. Ich empfehle, in eins der nahe gelegenen Cafés gehen wo man leckere Croissants und Brötchen kriegt.

Location is excellent. Near for shopping and as a starting point for the Cami de Cavalls. Comfortable accommodation and a nice sunny courtyard to wind down in.

There is an alleyway next to the hotel where people seem to stop and natter at night. Otherwise the place is very quiet.

The friendly helpful staff, the rooftop terrace, the comfortable bed - and the honesty bar. Easy walk to the historic centre but also easy walk to less touristy parts with some great value restaurants.
