Nice large room with effective air conditioning. Friendly staff with a good breakfast and a great location near the Templar castle. Secure underground parking for a motorcycle.

The property is in a perfect location for the start of the Camino journey from Ponferrada. The hotel is located directly opposite the old town, which has lovely shops, a tourist information centre and great bars and cafes. Here we were able to collect our Camino passports and the customary shells that we attached to our backpacks. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and the room was small but clean and comfortable. The bathroom was modern and fully tiled with marble tiles and the shower was powerful and there was a bath tub. Breakfast was included in the tariff and the breakfast area opened at 5.30 am, which was great as we were able to set off on the start of our journey before sunrise. Breakfast consisted of tortilla or ham and cheese croissant with a drink and it was delicious.

There was nothing that we disliked about the property.
