Hotel Santa Caterina:Is an excellent choice for anyone staying in Pompei!The staff are all very helpful and will help in any way to make your stay a pleasant one,Highly Recommended.

Cons: Hotel safe didn't work and despite our request it was never fixed. The fruits in the breakfast buffet were moldy everyday. Not some what moldy but rather several days of mold yet still put out for guests. Very noisy area. Pro: Everything else is a pro. Good front desk staff, good A/C. Close to the tourist sites. Be sure to visit the church.

We are just back from a wonderful trip to Pompei and Hotel Santa Caterina was an excellent base. We were upgraded to a suite which had beautiful views of Vesuvius and down to the square. The continental breakfast is great and the hotel staff were all friendly and really helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel. The street can sometimes be noisy but if you want to be in the middle of town this place is for you.

Very well presented with lovely breakfast included. Very close to Pompeii Ruins entry and not the main entry, so easy entry. Also close to restaurants and station.

Great stay here, very friendly. It was really useful that we were able to drop our bags In the morning, as we had traveled overnight on the thello sleeper. Infact reception closes at 13.30 but don't worry the management contact you with access information if you are likely to be later. The only down side is that although the hotel is in a nice location it is about a 15 minute walkout of the centre of town.

Friendly and helpful staff, clean and very comfortable. Single room quite small. Overall good base for seeing the area around Pompei, and only 18 minute walk to the entrance to the old city. Quiet despite being surrounded by busy streets and cafes.

"Because the check-in is at 2 pm and we need to clean the room" said the employees. The reception employee told us about the check out time in their hotel just after registering and paying. I was able to negotiate 30 more minutes, they wanted us to free the room at 10. Yet I didn't notice that the room and the corridors where so clean especially the curtains ! At 9.30 they pressed us to leave the breakfast area where only sweet pastry where proposed and one plate of salami. Bored and unpleasant staff. Expensive once you discover that the 3 stars dont reflect the reality of the service. The location very close to the archeological site (and the first hotel you meet when you go right out of the site) is the strategic point on which the hotel relies.

Nice free parking, great location to the Archeological site, 2 minute walk, clean room.Safe area just don't go to the Trattoria across from the hotel, is a horrible service, the owner doesn't like foreigners, only locals.The bad ,,,shower is tiny tiny and the door system makes it worst, bed is very hard and the safe uses a key very hard to get it to work.

The service was great and location is good. Not to far from the train station or ruins. The room is old, the bed hard and clean enough.

Lovely hotel, located on the main strip in Pompei. Great aircon in the rooms and breakfast is excellent with a choice of meats, pastry’s, cereal and juices. Entrance to pompei ruins is virtually opposite the hotel. The only issue I had was that the WiFi signal was poor.
