"Great staff, great food, great location"

9.0

Lovely friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast & great food - great location right at the heart of the village.

WiFi was unreliable but the staff did get it going for us eventually. (The TV is connected via the WiFi, so no WiFi = no TV !) I must stress that the staff were very helpful and did everything to help

"Great cosy retreat"

10.0

The room and bathroom were extremely clean and cosy. It had some old style features in the dining area and barwhich we liked. The location for walking around the town and up to see the views on the hill was great. The only issue is the street is narrow and no parking. Don't drive directly to the hotel. Drive to the Old School house and drop your bags and go back up the one way system. Do not do the loop as the hills back are tricky. Go up and park in the new road carpark. The staff were brilliant and very friendly. This hotel had no pretension. We wanted an old style building with full breakfast and a nice evening meal . We got exactly what we wanted However if you want to walk a little bit there are other restaurants close by but I was quite happy with the fish and chips i got.If you want a swimming pool it's 20 yards away from you. It may not be heated but it's fairly big. You won't need a gym or leisure centre. Just walk up to Doc Martin house a few times and it will keep you fit.

I couldn't fault this hotel based on the description given on websites. The bathroom was compact but immaculate clean and shower easy to use. It didn't cause an issue for me but if you like your space in the bathroom it may be an issue The only other issue might be the parking. However if you are staying in Port Isaac most hotels in the area will have the same issue. I have to say while tricky my wife got a great kick out of watching me trying to navigate the hill and narrow roads. It added to the adventure.

"Would happily recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Port Isaac. It was magical. I highly recommend the Doc Martin tour"

10.0

The location was excellent. Right in the heart of everything. Beautifully decorated with lots of character and charm. Food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Everything was catered for even extra biscuits, Tea bags etc in the hallway if you need more. A gorgeous little soap bag set in the bathroom too. Being Port Isaac the parking is at the top of the hill so I would advise you to download the parking app and pay for your parking that way to save climbing the hill every day although there is a taxi service. Can’t praise this hotel enough.

There was nothing at all that I didn’t like about this hotel. Being a Doc Martin fan it was right in front of the harbour, right next to Mrs Tishels chemist and just down the hill from Doc Martin’s house.
