My moorland-facing single room on the second floor was a decent size, comfortable and clean, with a very clean bathroom too. It took a few minutes to get any hot water to run through the taps or the shower, but when it arrived it was hot and the shower had a great water pressure. The views front and back of the hotel were fabulous! The young man on reception and who was serving dinner and working the bar couldn’t have been more welcoming or lovely!

Only that it took quite a long time to get any hot water through the system, but my room was at the end of a corridor on the top floor so presumably at the end of the pipework! Otherwise excellent.

Room was clean. Staff were lovely. Food was good. Bar area was nice and the beer was good. Kitchen was spotless.

Building is old and needs a lick of paint. Carpets need replacing. Strange smell throughout the hotel.

The staff were wonderful, very helpful and accommodating. My evening meal was delicious. The bedding and towels were lovely and clean. A very difficult review as the staff were lovely but I wouldn't stay again

The hotel is very tired and really does require improvement.

The guy on reception was excellent friendly. and helpful steak was good. The only thing chips said was homemade they were frozen.

The guy in the morning looked like a chef and asked if i had ordered breakfast. I arrived after 9 pm. and wasn't aware I had to order before 9 p.m., so he didn't offer to give me any breakfast, so I just left. I wasn't in the mood to argue.
