We loved the room and brought our dog. He was treated so special by the staff. The breakfast was delicious.

Comfortable room and great location

Seemed understaffed , one person to handle checkin, snack purchases, answer questions… Fire alarm was set off twice (not their fault) due to smoke in garage. 2am and 5 am. We had to wait outside freezing in PJs till Firefighters gave an all clear. Then it happened again at 5 am. Even though it was possibly no one’s fault, none of the staff reached out to acknowledge the guests’ difficulties.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Aloft Asheville Downtown, though there were a couple of notable disruptions during our visit. To begin with the highlights, the property boasts an exceptional location—perfectly situated within walking distance of an array of vibrant restaurants and entertainment venues. The hotel itself is impeccably maintained, from the guest rooms to the second-floor recreational spaces, all of which were clean and inviting. The ambiance throughout the hotel was pleasantly upbeat, with fellow guests contributing to an overall positive and relaxed atmosphere. The staff, from the bar to the front desk, were consistently cordial and accommodating. The bar area, in particular, stood out as a lively and enjoyable space. I was initially surprised by the number of dogs on the property, but it proved to be a non-issue, as the environment remained undisturbed—something I greatly appreciated. That said, there were a few inconveniences worth noting. Over the course of our three-night stay, the fire alarm was activated four times, including three separate occurrences during our final night (at approximately 1 AM, 5 AM, and 7 AM), each requiring a full evacuation. While I understand that such matters can be outside of the hotel’s immediate control, it was nonetheless disruptive to our overall experience. Additionally, I would strongly encourage future guests to be especially mindful of securing their personal belongings. While I won’t elaborate, I will simply say—exercise caution and take the necessary precautions. Parking in the garage can be somewhat tight, requiring careful navigation, but the pricing is quite reasonable compared to the often exorbitant valet fees found elsewhere. The pool was out of season during our visit, which was understandable given the weather. Despite the aforementioned issues, we would absolutely consider staying here again due to the prime location, welcoming atmosphere, and overall quality of the accommodations.
