I was very disappointed with the allocation of the two rooms I booked almost three months in advance. Despite specifically requesting adjoining rooms, we were placed in separate buildings, which meant having to climb up and down three flights of stairs just to socialise with our friends. I even took the time to write a letter to the General Manager, yet received no apology or acknowledgment for the inconvenience caused. Instead, I was informed that I “should have booked a ground floor apartment” — something that was neither clearly stated as an option during booking nor mentioned on the website. In fact, the website’s photos are somewhat misleading, as they give little indication that the property has multiple levels. There is also no clear explanation that guests may need to request a ground floor unit if accessibility or proximity is important. Overall, this was a disappointing experience that could have been avoided with better communication, more accurate descriptions of the facilities, and a more considerate approach to guest requests.
