Villa Rocla guest house Pompei

The B&B is very close to the Pompeii Excavations and surrounded by many nice restaurants. The room had everything you could need: air conditioning, Wi-Fi, TV, and a private bathroom with a walk-in shower and toiletries. After a long journey, we slept very well. The parking was private and secure, which made our stay worry-free—we left the car there while visiting the excavation sites. Breakfast at the B&B felt like a five-star hotel: amazing cappuccino, freshly baked croissants, and more. The prickly pears and boiled eggs were a very nice touch. The owners were incredibly kind and accommodating, which made our stay even more enjoyable.

Relaxing on the terrace in the garden is a wonderful way to unwind after a long day. Parking is available right in the courtyard, so you can park just steps away from your room. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, keeping in touch from the moment we arrived. They were there to welcome us and guide us to the parking area. Breakfast is served in a cozy and pleasant space. The garden area is peaceful, especially in the evenings. The price to quality ratio is fair charging more wouldn’t feel reasonable. The facilities and their quality match the price. If you’re not looking for luxury but want a comfortable stay in this city, you’ll enjoy it here.

During our stay, there were a few areas that could be improved. The hot water wasn’t working properly, so showers were mostly lukewarm or cold. The beds felt quite uncomfortable and short I’m not very tall, yet I still had to adjust so my feet wouldn’t hang off the edge. The pillows were lower and less supportive than I personally prefer. In the evenings, the area can feel a bit unsettling, as cars sometimes use the sidewalks and there is very little lighting. During the day, it can also be noisier due to the nearby highway, and occasionally you can hear car horns. I would recommend having at least a small fridge in every room. While there is one in the shared kitchen, storing personal items there may not feel ideal, and the fridge is extremely small like a hotel mini-fridge so it could be difficult if several guests needed space. Lastly, the internet in our room was not working during our stay, and unfortunately, it wasn’t repaired before we left.
