Riad Idrissi

We arrived and were offered tea on the roof terrace which was a nice start. Then the owner came and explained to us everything we needed to see in the city giving us some valuable information on what to avoid as well. Then for the night his wife prepared a traditional harira soup and couscous, which were one of the best we've had in Morocco. This is a real family Riad, where the family lives and where they host people, not some tourist trap like most in Marrakech. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, and the owner even prepared us breakfast earlier than normal so we could catch our train without an empty stomach.

That we could only stay one night before flying back.

Ein wunderschönes und gemütliches Riad mit sehr freundlichem Menschen. Man fühlt sich wie zuhause und in die Familie aufgenommen.

Un petit riad familial super sympa. Accueil super chaleureux. Les chambres sont propres. Parfait pour visiter Meknès. Stationnement facile pas très loin avec surveillance par un gardien local (payant). Ils proposent le diner traditionnel, super copieux, moyennant bien sur un supplément. Le seul petit bémol est le paiement obligatoire en espèces (pas de paiement ni en ligne ni en CB sur place). Excellent rapport qualité-prix.

It was a beautiful riad. The owner’s family was incredibly sweet, offering warm hospitality. The madam is not only an excellent chef but also a very talented carpet maker. The room was spacious, clean, and quiet at night.

Authentic and in the old city center

The car is parked a few minutes away from the Riad. The old city is not accessible by car. You get a lot of help with finding parking spot and carrying the loggage through !

The riad is very characteristic, indeed is situated inside Meknes Medina. The owner is very polite and his wife make a special breakfast included in the tax and if you want she could make also a traditional dinner. The house has and old style but is very clean and has an amazing terrace were we saw the sunrise and sunset. we had a real Moroccan experience there, we felt like part of their family ! Absolutely recommend
