"Cosy, romantic stay."

9.0

Very cosy and cute cottage. Loved the open fire and the spa! Location next to a lovely walk to ‘walls cave’ and a short drive to an amazing hike and lookout. Short drive to town for provisions. Jess the manager was delightful.

Would’ve been nice to provide some decent coffee- they just left a few small sachets of international roast and one biscuit.

"Enjoyable settings but be ready to work at the heating"

7.0

(1) Environment: We loved the location. Nestled within a forest, the surroundings placed our minds at ease immediately. Aside from the greenery, the environment offered a good deal of lovely bird life: we were especially fascinated by the number of lyrebirds active within the grounds outside the huts. Quite a bonus! (2) Facilities: The spa bath was very nice. The kitchen was well equipped, therefore with adequate supplies one could eat in for as long as one wishes. The TV set with a DVD player attached made for good entertainment most of the time. There is a big library of DVDs in the office for guest use. (3) The manager Jess was very accommodating about change of huts for accessibility consideration.

(1) Heating: The hut we stayed in depended on a wood fire stove for heating, which needed to be tended regularly (including in the middle of the night), requiring regular stoking plus adding of fresh logs. A tiny electric fan heater was also provided but it was very weak and ineffectual for such a big hut. For late autumn and winter, I would say such heating provisions are not really practical. (2) No WIFI service.

"We had a fabulous Autumn weekend. Thank you!"

9.0

The property was clean, comfortable, warm and the perfect location for hiking and proximity to cafes and restaurant. A great find!

I have no negative feedback. Communication was great and the convenient key pick up/drop off system was well organised. We had everything we needed in a quiet, private location.

"Recommend stay at least two nights."

Best location very near to the Evans Lookout. Very friendly staff. It is a bit pitty that we arrive late so we forgot to use the wood fireplace, it would be very glad if we could.

The Possums Hideaway accommodation was exceptional value. Close to many towns and attractions but so quiet and peaceful. Everything we needed was provided. Nice touch that the fireplace was set and ready to just light when we arrived. Hostess Jess was so friendly and helpful.
