It was a good hotel with a reasonable price the staff were very accommodating especially mudrick in reception who went out of his way to find an atm that worked and to the local Shop

Close to the city,easy to move

The smell of the room,the fixtures needs to be changed, they need to change or rather repair furniture's,tje bed makes noise.The bedsheets should be changed.If you compare with the value of money its not even close.

Onze laatste nacht op Zanzibar geboekt in Golden Tulip. 's Ochtends berichtte het hotel via mijn bookingaccount dat de betaling was mislukt en of ik mijn creditcard wilde verifiëren. Niet gedaan, want gewaarschuwd voor oplichters. We kwamen bij aankomst niet verder dan de lobby. Na een uur wachten kwam eindelijk de uitleg: ze hadden geen kamer voor ons omdat de leidingen gebarsten waren op de etage waar onze kamer was. Het alternatief was een mufruikend en donker 'appartementje' in een steeg dat ze ons voor hetzelfde bedrag als de kamer (bij Booking staat het bedrag voor de helft) in de maag wilden splitsen. We zijn vertrokken naar een ander hotel.

Lift was under maintanance but this is a temporary issue

I had a great stay at Golden Tulip Stone Town. The reception team and overall service were top-notch from check-in to check-out. The bedrooms were clean, well maintained, and very comfortable. Overall, a pleasant experience and I would gladly stay here again.
