Agapitos Villas & Guesthouses

The maisonette where we stayed was as reflected in the photos. The view was amazing! The infinity pool was not crowded. But the best thing was the hospitality of the people who made us feel like home!

I would suggest a few more options for the breakfast! Even though it was fresh and locally sourced.

We had a wonderful stay at Agapitos Villas. The atmosphere was cozy and peaceful, the staff were truly kind, and the food was amazing. A perfect spot for a relaxing couple’s getaway.

Everything was great

The property is absolutely stunning. I was worried I might have over-egged it in my mind but the views and the gardens blew us away. The room was also a lot more spacious than I was expecting with great aircon, a fridge and a sink area and several pieces of furniture which was helpful for luggage/belongings. It was a garden room which I think are cheaper because they don't have a sea view but it was nicely tucked away from everything so it actually suited as well - and you don't exactly need to walk far to get a sea view! Being able to get food and drink (the latter via an honesty bar) delivered to the pool or your room was a real luxury too - and helpful for hunger emergencies as you're not exactly close to a supermarket where you can grab a quick snack. I was also worried about the walk down to the town and beaches (I'm 6.5 months pregnant and it was very hot!) but it was actually fine. We did drive down once and got a parking space relatively easily but we also did the walk down and back up every day, and whilst yes, I was very sweaty by the time I got to the top, it was totally worth it for the proximity to a quick swim in the sea. We did the walk to Damouchari directly from the property and another walk on our list which can be done without driving was one to Mouresi but given the 40+ degree heatwave, we did not get round to this. We ate in the restaurant twice because the views are so incredible and the service was so great - it just felt really special there which was nice for the end of our holiday. (Oh and this is the same place you eat breakfast, so a pretty great location for that too).

On some occasions, the (fairly small) pool was completely dominated by large families shouting over each other, using huge inflatables, or simply not watching their very young children who were messing around in the deep end right in front of where my husband and I were trying to read our books! The area by the pool is such a lovely area when this isn't happening but all of the above made it rather stressful so we ended up just leaving. Not too sure what the property can do about this though, as I understand large groups are always going to want to have fun together and not be restricted in how much noise they can make! Perhaps just one thing might have been a reinforcing of the pool rules we had to sign on arrival? I'm pretty sure it said no games/inflatables and jumping/diving in but there was definitely a LOT of this going on which was adding to the excitement and noise. Having to pay for a second coffee wasn't great - might be good to offer a cheap filter coffee option as well as the barista ones? (But, overall, we did have a really lovely time!)

We had an amazing stay. The location is amazing, with an impressive view. The staff is extremely friendly and ready to help you everytime! One of the most amazing staff we saw in Greece. We were impressed by the pool area. 😍 The restaurant of the hotel is the best in the area and the room was thoroughly cleaned everyday. We made good memories here thanks to this location!

Sometimes there were some ants and insects in the room, but they were inoffensive and we were no bothered that much, since the location is in the middle of nature.

We had an unforgettable stay at Agapitos Villas. Everything was perfect from start to finish. The entire team was incredibly kind, welcoming, and professional – true Greek hospitality at its finest! The food was absolutely delicious, the service was flawless, and the location is simply breathtaking. Surrounded by nature with a stunning view of the sea – it felt like a dream. We also travelled with an electric car, and everything worked out perfectly – the property is EV-friendly, which made things super convenient. Thank you to everyone at Agapitos Villas for making our holiday so special. We’ll definitely be back!

Agapitos Villas is a real slice of paradise. I don't know if there is anything left to say after all the other brilliant reviews, but we loved almost everything. The pool area with breathtaking views over the Aegean Sea is out of this world! We had a two bedroom apartment with a terrace with ocean views. Clean, cool and nice. The staff is friendly; breakfast excellent - a shout out to Christos who helped us book a boat tour. We really liked the "honesty bar" in the pool area - the only place I've seen one except for in South Africa. Agios Ioannis is a very close. Definitely walking distance, but the road is very steep, so it is a tough walk. All in all, it is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at, largely thanks to the amazing pool area. Don't miss the sunrise. It is worth setting the alarm early.

The only things we didn't like were the beds and that there was a slight "sewage" smell in the bathroom and hallway, but since this wasn't noticeable in the bedrooms we never bothered to complain.
