Residence Salina Bay

Appartement au top et bien situé. Personnel agréable. Je vous conseille fortement cette résidence.

We stayed for two weeks, mid-late September, in a two bed, luxe apartment, poolside and it was exactly as shown in the website photos. The apartment was very spacious, spotlessly clean, well equipped and the balcony was huge. The beds were very comfortable and the welcome pack of laundry, dishwasher and toiletry items was appreciated, as were the fresh towels mid-week and full laundry change mid-stay. We were in Block D, which had full sun on the balcony all day, perfect for sunbathing on the numerous, comfortable sun loungers. Free parking is plentiful and close to the apartments (although spaces are quite narrow for modern day cars). The view of the pool was great, but had the added bonus of including the perfectly kept grounds and salt marshes. Showers were always hot and fairly powerful, the a/c welcome at night. Having a dishwasher and washing machine made for a very easy stay, alongside the large fridge, small freezer, microwave, hob and oven. Salina Bay is in a great location. A large supermarket is opposite, a takeaway pizza restaurant and a patisserie close by, the harbour, with restaurants and shops, a 5 minute walk and the old town about a 10 minutes walk (albeit up a very steep hill). The local free electric bus is to be recommended if you are not at your fittest. Staff were helpful and pleasant.

There were very few negatives and our stay was close to perfect. If I were to be picky, one a/c remote control per apartment, for units in three separate rooms is inconvenient and rather silly. We arrived lateish on a Sunday evening and a bottle of water and some milk to go with the coffee pods would have been appreciated as the supermarket was closed. The apartments are not sound proofed as advertised and there was some noise from neighbouring apartments, but nothing unbearable or hugely intrusive. There is currently building work going on nearby on the city side and the builders played their music so loudly at times we could feel the base reverberating through the apartment. There were also a group of people using the local nature reserve as a personal quad biking track late at night on several nights, which again did disturb a little. All of this contrasted with the overall peace and tranquillity of the residence, with the exception of the noise of grounds maintenance machinery, which I'm sure could be reduced. It's important to consider these (very minimal) negatives within the wider context of a very well kept residence, with beautiful grounds, pool and apartments, which provided us with an outstanding holiday. We wouldn't hesitate to return and recommend.

Grandeur appartement, environnement, espaces verts et calme. Piscine avec bar.

Absence de tri sélectif.

The pool. It was excellent. Lovely grounds and balcony overlooking the pool was spacious and comfortable. Good parking. Communication was great.

Had to pay a 500£ deposit (actually deducted from your account and reimbursed at end). No milk or coffee or anything to get you started, very little toilet paper etc. (altho really good supermarket was across the road)

Schöne, ruhige Lage mit grosser Terrasse. Aussicht auf einen sehr schönen, grossen Pool. Nahe am Zentrum und Hafen, alles in Fussdistanz. Küche mit allem Notwendigen vorhanden.

Zu viele, omnipräsente Verbote in der Außenanlage, fehlende Möblierung (z.B. Salontisch) im Appartement. Ungemütliche, kalte bzw. fehlende Leuchten im Appartement.
