Boulevard Hostel Hamburg

Very nice & cozy hotel, will be considering it as my prime pick for further Hamburg visits..

This is an old-school, boutique style hotel ran by an older German couple, who are very kind. Their English isn't great, but a smile doesn't need translating! The decor is old fashioned but it's full of charm and history, my room had a beautiful grand chandelier, something you won't see very often. The bed was very comfortable and sheets were high quality. The night I stayed it was -6 degrees outside and I didn't wake up or get cold once, even without heating. They offer complimentary coffee/juice with some small snacks for breakfeast in the dining room, which is a nice touch. You are 15 minutes to the city centre by bus and 20 mins to the airport. Wifi works fine. I would stay here again!

No facilities. No breakfast. Small room and shower. Very outdated.

The hotel was nice, right next to a restaurant which I didn't need to use. They didn't serve breakfast but more a coffee room (again I didn't use). The property doesn't have a lift, which I didn't know in advance. It was tough lugging my large suitcase and hand luggage up a winding flight of stairs. No aircon in the room either. The staff were lovely and helpful. The receptionist stayed till late to allow me to check in, which was very kind of her. The room was fine, a little antiquated décor but fine for my 2 nights stay. Taylor Swift was in town so none of my usual choices were available.

Many stairs, no ramp at the entrance and no elevator. The wi fi was really poor. The bed was a bit short, and it might not be suitable for tall people

Great rooms, very nice atmosphere and great location right in front of a bus stop. Parking is available but can't be reserved.

The hotel does not serve breakfast - but they offer a nice cup of coffee and juice in the morning.
