Panorama Vacation Retreat at Horsethief Lodge

The view was phenomenal. There wouldn't be a bad room at this resort. You are truly surrounded by mountains everywhere.

The shower pressure was non existent so we had to use the showers at the pool or at the hot tub. Expert note: the showers at the hot tub have consistent hot water not like the pools which are a mixture of freezing turning suddenly warm back to freezing. The unit was dated but overall nice with the exception of the pull out bed. It was actually disgusting, however the most amazing front desk staff member tracked down another mattress and switched it out. She was incredibly kind and I so appreciated her doing this for us. We stayed in a 1 bedroom with pullout couch. Next time we will definitely get a 2 bedroom as it was too small for our family 4.

Property inside resort. Steps to village gondola. Hot tub and bbq nearby. Room is equipped with kitchen and household supplies and dishes. Room is older with a constant wet smell.

Perfect location, so many to do in the resort. Surrounded by beautiful nature.

Panorama has a lot going for it as a summer vacation spot. Our kids had an incredible time in the pool and trying the ropes course and other amenities. However, in the future, our family will find a different rental unit until they make some upgrades. I'm not usually opposed to old facilities (I wouldn't have booked here if I was), but this place felt extremely industrial. From the cheap kitchen tap to the sticky kitchen table (the finish has worn and it feels gross) to the cold, white lights (warm lights would make such a difference!) and the noisy beds with loud, plastic sounding mattress protectors, the place left little to be desired apart from the facilities in Panorama. If this is your maximum budget, you'll still have a good time. A couple of tips: - bring a laptop (or other device) so you can connect it using the HDMI to stream shows (it's not a Smart TV). This was important for our kids' downtime. - there is no in-unit laundry (I'm used to places that have them!) so pack enough extras. One of the units beside ours had laundry and it was very noisy when they ran it. - there are a lot of steep stairs, so keep that in mind if mobility is a concern.

Location, cleanliness and the overall feel of the place. Serene, quiet and views everywhere

Nothing, but if I could suggest something, maybe the person on the front desk would give more insight about the place, like best restaurants, best path to take to go to the restaurants and pools. But they were still amazing nonetheless
