Ramada Plaza Weifang

Any major city and I would have given the Ramada 2 stars at most. The windows are filthy (on the inside and out). Furniture is tired, wiring is visible, wallpaper is peeling... Window has gaps that wind freely blows through. Basically a tired middle tier hotel that has not been kept up and needs proper management. The employees are friendly and try but there is nothing like good training. Internet is painfully slow even when surfing within the great firewall. Lounge is unlit (save money?) and the one thing I ordered, Johnny Black...bottle was empty. Wine, Chinese rice wine...all non-existent. OK so it is more of a "classic" Chinese hotel and in that light it is not bad especially in this remote city, however for regular TripAdvisor travelers I am keeping things relative. BUT my sheets were clean and bed decent so 3 stars.

This is certainly a very good hotel . Staff is eager to serve ! I would appreciate if they would be able to exchange dollars for local currency ( they had no cash ...) TV has only one English station - all other stations are in Chinese !

We stayed here with a tour group. Pillow is clean and snugly. Bed is very comfortable and we had very good sleep. There is a indoor pool and it seems to be slightly heated. We did not have the time to swim but there were people using it.

Weifang is considered a small town by Chinese standards and I only stayed one night during a business trip but overall I had no complaints as breakfast was good, the room was good (and quiet) and I had an excellent sleep

I was only for one night The room was a delight: delicious ved and pillows perfectly soft. Bathroom is a joy The air conditioner has its own life. Dont want to change the temperature and in the middle of the night decided to go off and didnt want to get on even i touch every bottom i saw in air conditioner wall controller. For me an international hotel chain it should have more english speaking tv channels. This is very important. Its a shame to get so late in night after hard day working and yet you dont have anything to see on tv to get a relax night Breakfast really good variety. Everyone can enjoy.

Stayed here for a business visit due to company recommendation. Prices are certainly reasonable, rooms acceptable but breakfast is probably below average. I can only so ok as I do not know the other hotels in the town.

This hotel is not the best you will stay at but it is comfortable and super convenient. a few minutes by taxi from the train station (RMB 8) and about 25 minutes from the airport. Downtown is a short easy walk 10 minute along the river front . The rooms are a little tired and the aircon is not great but the bed is comfortable and the shower is hot . Beware of the items like soap and shampoo that are for sale in the room.(not complimentary) The staff are friendly and speak very limited English . Bar service was horrible. I will stay here again with lower expectations as it is good value.

I really enjoy this hotel. I have stayed many times. The location is excellent. The gym is excellent. Cassy on the management team is always helpful and goes the extra mile to make my stay enjoyable. She is great. I will return to this hotel when I travel to Weifang.

This hotel is well located several km away from the railway station. Room was big and comfortable, quite clean, but the heater wasn't working, so in the morning it was quite cold. Some furniture needs repair. Wifi in the room was poor and I could not even download mails nor navigate. We tried the dinner buffer and it was ok, except the sushi, that looked oxydized. Breakfast was good, mostly Chinese style, but they have some Western food. The pool won't open until 10 am; I do not undertstand why many Chinese hotels open their pool so late in the morning, misregarding business guests that like to exercise before work.

What a great hotel! Must be the best of the Ramada chain. Manager Johnson is always helpful and professional. His staff is great and Cassy is always helpful, too. In my opinion, the mark of great run service business is when most staff members mimic the behavior of their leader (Johnson) and this is what keeps bringing me back when I am in Weifang. Besides the staff and the accommodations, the location is excellent. I regularly walk through the adjacent park on the river or walk to mail area by the old city gate (Kuiwen Men) with many shops and restaurants. Very nice area to visit.
