Stayed at the Sparks Hotel for one night in July 2014. Clean, spacious rooms, and friendly staff. Good WiFi in rooms. Location is short cab ride to National Monument and National Museum, and Lokasari Plaza (shopping mall) is a short walk from hotel.

The most true fact about this hotel, is the hotel staff, starting from the security to the reception, and ending with house keeping. They are all the nicest employees you wish to see in any hotel. I rate them 10/10. However the hotel staff themselves only can't provide the guests the full satisfaction of the stay. I hade to move to other hotel due to healthy reasons : many Small insects all around inside my room, at the first day i couldn't see them, but next day my body was having red spots , I wondered why, then I saw those small insects , where I can't avoid them, even if the room is super clean. Anyway during my 2 days stay, my room was at fifth floor " none smoking floor" however i could hear clearly the music from the karaoke bar at eighth floor till 4:00AM everyday. Even if you complain , the staff can't do anything, it's not in their hands. The good thing the lobby bar is no more exist, it will be a restaurant. If we talk about the location , the surroundings is not that perfect , but it's easy to reach most attractions " clubs: stadium 1, 2, Mille's ,classic, Illigas , Malio, 36 bar, malls,china town" by taxi " blue bird only" with less than 20-25k. This hotel has 24 hrs, in room massage service , which I wouldn't recommend , the treatment was awful. To end up, my stay was ok, but not that much perfect, and I would prefer in future to stay in different available hotels in the area.

Room was fine; bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean, but the room smelled strongly of stale cigarettes. The main problem was the all-night karaoke bar on the 8th floor, and despite being warned about this in advance we were allocated a 7th floor room and no chance to change it (despite booking weeks in advance). Didn't get much sleep therefore, so I really can't recommend this hotel for getting a decent night's sleep unless you happen to really like listening to drunk karaoke until 4am. It was also a fair distance from the airport, and avoiding getting ripped off by taxi drivers is a challenge. On the plus side, the hotel was cheap, the staff were pleasant and helpful, and it's close to the center.

It's a just Ok hotel. Rates are affordable. The rooms could have more clean. Stingy smell at some of the areas. The view was bad and facing shelters outside. The breakfast was bare minimum. Not much choice. Location was not ideal for a leisure trip. Suitable for short stays. Have blue bird taxis on front of the hotel.

Non-smoking room only on level 5. The other rooms reek cigarette smell which may not be too comfortable.

All are well & good, value for money except Boardband/internet a bit lag..during my first stay the Boardband/Internet were perfect..however my second visit/stay.. some how the internet cannot receive in room, need to open the door & bring computer near to door in order to have internet?? I cannot understand why...?

very satisfactory.. worth the money. a nice hotel to stay..location-wise everything good. Anyway no matter where you stay in Jakarta..traffic is alway a killing..

The hotel is very affordable and has everything one could need for a relaxing stay. The pool is excellent and hotel staff are friendly. We had room service a number of times, it was quick and quality and value of food superb. Night life outside on Mangga Besar is buzzing, exciting!
