Villa Delle Rose

We stayed in Oristano for six nights. And this Villa delle Rose made our stay practical and fun. What makes this hotel special is the friendly staff: Enrico and Ema will do there utmost to make your stay pleasant. Questions, tourist information and travel details. Everything with a smile and real interest! The breakfast is enough, also here: the difference is the staff. The second cappuccino for my wife came almost without asking. The room was comfy, and the bathroom was spacious. My wife said: we can have a party in here. We didn't. F.

Welcome was efficient and polite, rooms clean and comfortable although the bathroom fittings could do with updating. Breakfast was OK, and it was a little disappointing that there were no tea making facilities in the room. Late evening drinks were served with a smile! Wifi was fine in our room. Quiet location but a good 10 minute walk down to the town.

The room was ok: basic, but sufficient. Wi-Fi reception only in the lobby. The location is central. The lady at the reception desk was very friendly and provided us with some useful tips for our trip in Sardinia.

The hotel was clean, the staff friendly and helpful and the location convenient. The en suite bathroom was rather cramped, but the main room was of ample size, as was the comfortable bed. The restaurant isn't the most romantic, being very plain and harshly lit, but the kitchen is competent and after one long day out sightseeing it was very convenient to be provided with an excellent value meal "in". Oristano proved to have several good restaurants, especially Josto al Duomo and Craf, the latter also known locally as the Banana. TA has reviews of both. One word of warning: there are some light fingered people about, and we had a camera taken from a rucksack while walking in town on our first evening. Moral of that story: NEVER relax your guard, even when the surroundings appear unthreatening.

This hotel is certainly a great option if your visiting Oristano. The staff is very friendly and it offers great service. Rooms are spacious and clean, with the charm of the Italian houses of decades ago, with high ceilings, balconies and luminous windows. The restaurant of the hotel offers good local food and good espresso and pastries for breakfast. The price per night is very reasonable and the location is quite convenient, a 10 minutes walk to downtown through the quiet streets of privincial Oristano. I highly reccomend this place, mostly for the gentle Sardinians working there.

The place was a bit understaffed and the very nice lady at the front desk was doing double duty as a waitress in the restaurant. Nice room, clean. For 50 Euro, no complaints.
