"Perfect location, nice restaurant"

8.0

Very nice location, a short drive / nice walk to the 2 most beautiful beaches I have ever seen (fakistra and mylopotamos). Not too far from the square with the huge tree. there is a tourist information bureau next to the hotel. A bit disappointed as we booked the honeymoon suite but it was already occupied on arrival. So we got another room (with no jacuzzi but a rainshower, which was OK.. but not so much when you're expecting a jacuzzi) at the same prize.(588EUR for 7 nights) The minibar made a lot of noice when it started cooling at night, which was annoying but we just pulled the plug, so it was OK! On arrival we found a small bottle of Tsipouro in our room (a local spirit) On 2 other occasions, there was some fresh fruit waiting for us in the room, which was delightfull after a long walk! The room was very clean, staff was very helpful! The breakfast was surprising and nice. there was bread and cheese/meat daily, but also something different everytime (olives, tomato salad, greek yoghurt, cakes, an egg,..) and always nice fresh orange juice, water and a hot beverage.

"Aleka's House in Tsangarada - exploring Pilion"

8.0

Aleka's is conveniently located on (quiet) main road, easy walking distance into the village plateia and close to various leafy footpaths leading to Damouchari and other secluded beaches. There are a few local tavernas and Aleka's also has its own cafe and restaurant. This is a well kept place with sweet bedrooms, though not sure it fits my image of boutique. The one extremely helpful guy looking after the guests was doing his best, but he could have done with an extra pair of hands as people had to wait for breakfast and service.
