Good location.

We stayed in mid-February when the rates were relatively low — and I would have been extremely disappointed had we paid any more. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was unwelcoming. The receptionist was surly, her colleague barely looked up, and neither seemed inclined to offer more than the vaguest directions to our room. It felt very much as though we were an inconvenience rather than paying guests. After navigating a wet and poorly lit pathway, we reached a small, cluttered room that appeared to be constructed from cheap materials. It certainly didn’t feel comfortable or inviting. Breakfast the following morning continued in the same vein — served in tired, shabby surroundings with an air of indifference that made guests feel more tolerated than welcomed. We were relieved to leave. Had we paid peak-season prices, the disappointment would have been considerably greater. Overall, this felt like a business that has lost sight of even the basics of hospitality and service.

The spa facilities are wonderful and the grounds are beautiful

some restaurants closed for refurbished but that was still ok as there was room service
