Nice, quite and comfortable place

elevator didn’t work at night and we had two heavy bags, reception not available at night, reception couldn’t speak English well.. interior decoration was strange

Good location is quiet in terms of being far from a highway or a busy street. Green. Nice patio.

The historical building pictured on the home page of this hotel belongs to the property but do not put your hopes up - no entry inside - it is used as an event location and not a hotel. If you are not a part of an event (e.g., a wedding, some sort of a meeting, or an anniversary), you can only admire it from the outside. The hotel restaurant is located in that nice building - unfortunately, in the basement. I asked for and received formal confirmation for getting a quiet room. Unfortunately, I got a room next to a so-called "family room" in which stayed a young couple with small kids. The rooms have hardwood floors, and the kids were playing from early morning, so the hotel's promises were not kept. The second thing was the unfriendly personnel in the hotel restaurant. After I asked for a table, saying that I was a hotel guest, I was told, "That's what everyone says. We have no place for you", I turned away and walked one mile to a restaurant in the city. I heard the restaurant staff screaming after me, "Wait, perhaps we find something," but I was no longer interested. The friendly welcome stopped my hunger.

Hotel is next to the Breitenfeld Schloss, nice area and quite. The staff was super friendly, welcoming. The rooms are nicely decorated, not too big but enough for the purpose. Breakfast was good and the wifi is stable and fast enough to work from there. They have free, secure parking at their premises.

It's a bit far away from downtown Leipzig so it's a bit of a drive if you need to go there. The room was a bit warm to my taste in the night and no airco was present, but the good old open window helped :).

The hotel is conveniently located if you look for a location close to the airport or companies like Porsche. Both are about a 5-10 minutes drive away. The hotel is close to the castle. The room was OK and clean. The staff is friendly. Breakfast is great, served in the castle, and offers a great selection of food. Cons are: WLAN is complementary, but I was not able to connect any of my devices. The restaurant closed at 8. Since we arrived late, we had to get some fast food around the corner :(
