Hotel La Palma

We thoroughly enjoyed the experience of staying in a neighborhood and were able to get around by walking and bus. Nice restaurants and supermarkets easily accessible. The hotel is great value. Beautiful kept and immaculate. Large room and comfortable bed. We paid 5E for a nice breakfast. The staff are so welcoming and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble in helping us with directions and arrangements.

Lovely hotel - great service. The rooms are spacious and clean. Moreover, very good choise if you like the real Sicily. One is very happy here to enjoy the great value. We needed peace and quiet and we found one:)

I recently stayed at this hotel and was extremely happy with my stay. This is really the perfect example of a 3 star hotel. Nothing extra but everything you need for a good nights rest and a good start to your day they have. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms were very clean and the bed was comfortable. Surprisingly WiFi worked quite well and exceeded my expectations in regards to connectivity and speed. Having a private parking lot is also a huge benefit in Catania because it is very hard to find parking on the street. Tips: Finding the place is quite difficult, but they leave plants outside the hotel entrance, there are no big signs indicating it is a hotel. The parking garage entrance is on the parallel street (again no sign) and is adjacent to a much larger parking lot (indicated by the large metal door securing the entrance)

Nice hotel, but quite far from the centre. It took at least 45 min to walk.Bus 448 takes you to and from the city centre and the central station. However, you only had to walk 10 min towards Piazza Nettuno to find some fine restaurants and bars. The staff at the hotel was very friendly, and kept the plice nice and clean. Most of them does not speek English however. Overall it is good value for money if you don't mind living outside the centre.

If you are looking to visit Catania and hoping to meet the friendly, vibrant people too, then this is definitely the hotel for you. The hotel is exceptionally clean (daily room cleans and change of linens and towels), it has some fantastic views and all the ameniities that you can ask for. Comfortable beds, good size bathroom etc. What really made the hotel for us though were the people. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful. They could not do enough for us fir breakfast, travel arrangements, excursions etc. I would happily recommend Hotel La Palma to anyone travelling to Catania. To get to Catania Central, it takes around 35 minutes to walk or they will call a taxi for you. It's around a 10 inute walk to get to the seaside, and this is with my pregnant partner. The top of the road is host to a lovely market as well and there is a sar nearby for any drinks or fruit that you would like in the room, where there is a large fridge. All in all for me it was a 9 out of 10 for the hotel, if only they had a pool it would have been a 10. Brilliant holiday and great hotel
