Stolls Hotel Alpina

What we learned the hard way was that there are 2 Stoll,s Hotels and they are right down the road from each other !When we booked this hotel with the pool we got the much smaller hotel without the pool that had about 10 rooms in total and a restaurant ! The man at check in was a total jerk because we thought we were booking the larger hotel that had an elevator for one of my Brothers that had a heart condition and we specifically asked if the hotel had an elevator ,After taking a look at the rooms on the 3rd floor we knew that this wasn't going to work since they were not the same size rooms as their main Stolls hotel !We asked to be moved to the larger hotel and the front desk man would not comply , We decided to cancel and leave and the front desk man demanded all of our passports since we were a party 10 and chased us out to our rental cars demanding us to stay while he called the police ! This was just ridiculous so we left and had to try to find another hotel in the area but since it was July all the hotels around the area were already booked ,My Brothers and me split up trying to find accommodations for that night with little luck , My brother went to a hotel while looking for hours and found the same Jerk behind the check in counter of another Hotel since he worked for a few of them in the area and again accosted him for his passport ,My brother just left again and after 6 hrs looking we finally had a place !So if you book this place make Shure you get this place and ask them if they have a pool because their sister hotel does not and you don't want that dump anyways , it's small and the rooms are small and since the cows are grazing right behind that place and you open the windows for some fresh air you will get the smell of manure ! Do your research and just make shure you get the hotel you want , if you look at the photos you will see pictures of the smaller hotel mixed in which made it very confusing and of course we had no clue about the sister hotel because they are only describing one in the photos but their clearly is two!Good luck people

We spend this hotel 3 nights and we really loved it. The garden and the outdoor pool area very nice and have a pleasant atmosphere. It is worth leaving time to sit here and enjoy a drinks from the bar. It is a very good program after a 5-6 hours hiking :) Our room was big enough and was comfortable. We loved the terrace, every evening we sat there. In the room we had a small fridge, I think it is very useful in summertime. My favorite part in the room was the light blue wooden shutters. The breakfast was very tasty with a large / wide selection. The dinner was also very nice, there are half-board menu, but if you want you can choose a la carte. There are more houses, one house is next to the pool (we stayed here and our terrace was facing to the pool, I liked it) and here is the bar which is open till 22:00. The other big building you can have breakfast and dinner, and there is the indoor pool. Between the two big building there is a corridor (underground) so if it is raining you can choose this route. In our building there was no elevator, but it was OK for us. This hotel is a dog friendly hotel. But here you get more than that, they not only let you bring your dog, but they love them. There is welcome package for dogs also, of course they don't get welcome drink, they get dog treats and a blanket. I think is a very kind and touching approaching. We really loved the hotel, the location (just a short walk and you could see very nice view to the Mount Watzmann) the meals and the services.

I just returned from a three night stay at the Hotel Alpina. As always it was a great experience. The staff were extremely helpful and kind. The room was very clean with a comfy bed along with good wifi. The food in the restaurant was fantastic. Since my last stay they have expanded their menu and it was really fantastic! Since the pandemic they have done some renovations to many areas of the hotel. I noticed the gym has all new equipment. I highly recommend staying here as it's my favourite hotel in the area and you're treated like family!

Really nice hotel with good rooms and a beautiful garden with mountain views from the pool. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, not least the owner who stepped in and offered to drive us to the train station when all the taxis in the area were occupied. Can definitely recommend.

This is a lovely property and is very quiet. The staff were extremely helpful and attentive. It is very hard to find, but once you find it is a treasure. The property needs remodeling. Our room was enormous, but the decor was straight out of the 60's. Remember avocado fixtures? It was a great stay.

The hotel is way more than I expected, could not ask for a better place to stay! The outdoor pool, the immense garden to relax, the view to the mountains, the spacious and quiet rooms, the friendly staff, everything is just combined to offer a great stay. And there's more: the indoor pool is just my son's favourite place, plus the outdoor playground. He made a lot of friends and they play altogether in the garden. Then there is the restaurant, serving great, delicious food, and is really a pleasure to eat outside by the garden. The hotel could be easily considered a 4 star, it offers everything one might want for a comfortable stay: cleanliness, location, facilities. Definitely will be back whenever in Königssee region again.

The hotel was even better than we expected. Very nice staff thankfully speaking English as we couldn’t speak German. Very nice room and bathroom with a huge balcony and a very lovely view. We loved our stay and would definitely recommend to anyone! Kind regards A young couple

The hotel has a fine quiet location. though central.. The hotel is charming, has spacious rooms large fine beds, and a big. The breakfast is delicious, and the hotel has very friendly and service-minded staff. The garden with the pools is wonderful for a rest after walking the mountains. The hotel has very good sanity and clean standard regarding the corona issue.

Excellent food at the restaurant, delicious Italian wine to go with the Tagliatelle!! The waiter giving a good service. The room clean and comfortable with beds for all the family and everything nice. The views lovely.... mountains and snow! I loved it!
