Dreams Vallarta Bay Resorts & Spa - All Inclusive

Had reasonably high hopes for this place before booking because of the things id heard before, and the Hyatt name signaled that we could expect the experience that what was advertised. It was actually quite a low level of hospitality that constantly left us disappointed. We did speak up each time and nothing was ever taken seriously or solved or shown any shred of care. Very disappointing hotel experience for it being our Honeymoon, we had especially high hopes, paid for upgrades, spa etc. But it fell very short of what was promised. The worst was calling for water, tray pick up, lost and found, asking for anything and it getting ignored. Tray pick up took 3 calls over the course of 2 days to finally get picked up. By then the leftover seafood was rotting and attracting roaches outside our room. We paid for the Preferred Upgrade and didn't get the things we were promised. Day one there was no private Concierge which front desk called a " personal butler", no access to preferred bar or snacks, and no waters or non alcoholic drinks in our mini fridge, NO promised balcony jacuzzi that is advertised with the upgrade online. Paid an extra $400 for this upgrade. If you don't pay the upgrade youre stuck to the Dreams side only which is SIGNIFICANTLY lower level in quality than the Secrets side. Place is a total rip off.

Had our wedding here, it was perfect! You could tell from the coast it was the nicest hotel around! Karla was an awesome wedding coordinator, Mauricio was the best concierge, and Noe, David, and Esteban were awesome with the activities!

Our experience at Dreams was truly wonderful. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and well taken care of . The staff was warm, friendly and attentive, making us feel special. The resort was beautiful and relaxing . I highly reccomend.

Everything was great! We stayed a week from Sunday to Sunday. The food in particular was awesome. We did not have one bad meal there. My favorite night was the Asado night at the buffet. Capers wash wife’s favorite, and the kids loved the all you can eat ice cream of course. The food was excellent! The service here was amazing as well. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating in every part of the hotel. From the restaurants, to the front desk, to the entertainment team, and the Explorer’s club. Our kids loved the club! A few days they spent the whole day there, even wanting to eat lunch with them and dinner. We would eat dinner at the buffet as well, and they still wanted to sit with the kids club. The teachers there were excellent! Aydee, Jessica, Alejandra, and Naomi. There were all so good with our kids. The resort is very pretty as well! Everything was very clean! The entertainment they had each night was great too! The location of the resort is prime too! 10 minute drive from the Airport, and about a 5 minute drive from the boardwalk. Please visit here! The staff and food are amazing! It is great for couples on the Secrets side, and families on the Dreams side. I wouldn’t even mind staying at the Dreams side if it were just my wife and either. The noise level was perfect even with kids running around. Puerto Vallarta is beautiful city, and Dreams was wonderful. We can’t to return next year!

Stayed here for 7 days food was very good for an all-inclusive. My daughter liked the kids club. She really liked Jessica, Aydee, Naomi, and Alejandra there. Hotel is good however; it is lacking more entertainment. Last time i stayed here was in 2021 and it was the same. Low entertainment.

We upgraded to the Preferred Club building specifically for a better experience to celebrate our anniversary. Instead, it became the worst hotel experience we’ve ever had. We arrived at 7pm and were told the Preferred Club butlers only work until 5pm — so the “upgrade” service was essentially unavailable from check-in. The room we were assigned was not clean: there was pubic hair in the hot tub and on the sinks. When we complained, staff first claimed there were no other rooms available, which was clearly untrue given how empty the hotel was at the time. We were told to wait while a room was cleaned, so we went to dinner and returned to the lobby afterward to speak with a manager. What followed was a frustrating runaround: the first staff member tried to find a manager but instead brought over another employee who turned out to only be a “sub-gerente” (assistant manager), not the manager. He also claimed no rooms were available. When we asked to be moved to the Secrets tower instead, he eventually went to find the actual on-duty manager — who initially refused to come speak with us at all. After repeated requests, the manager, Brandon Gonzalez, finally came over. He was unhelpful and had a poor attitude throughout. He falsely claimed it wasn’t possible to move us between the Dreams and Secrets towers, and also refused to move us to a different floor within Dreams. The only thing offered was the room next door — the same room they had earlier said wasn’t clean. Exhausted at this point, we accepted, but only on the condition that a different housekeeper would clean it the next day, since we didn’t trust the same staff to do it properly. Brandon agreed and said he’d personally handle it. The next day, the same housekeeper from the day before showed up to clean our room. We had to escalate again — this time to corporate — before they finally sent a different team for a deep clean, which was so necessary they had to bring in an air purifier for the lingering odor and humidity. This was supposed to be a special anniversary trip. Instead we spent it chasing down management, fighting for basic cleanliness, and being lied to multiple times by hotel staff — including a manager who should know better. Avoid this hotel, especially if you’re considering paying extra for the “Preferred Club” experience. It is not worth it.

We traveled here for my brother and new sister-in-law's wedding, and what an incredible time we had! The weather was absolutely perfect—except for the good luck rain on the wedding night! Alejandro made sure our drinks were always full, and the rest of the staff was amazing as well—Claudio, Alphonso, Aurelio, Jose, Noah, Angel, Adriana (and I'm sure I'm forgetting someone). Every one of them helped make our week unforgettable. A special shout-out to Carlos—what an incredible guy! Whether he was leading water aerobics, teaching daily Spanish lessons, or hosting karaoke, he made every day even more enjoyable. He also had an amazing sense of humor. One day I told him, "¡Yo seré tu suegro!" (He even taught me how to say it in Spanish!) I think one of my daughters may have had a little crush on him. 🤦🏻‍♂️😂 Our family and friends felt so welcomed, and thanks to the amazing staff, we truly had the time of our lives. Thank you all for making my brother and sister-in-law's wedding week so memorable. We can't wait to come back!

My stay at Dreams Vallarta Bay was amazing! The room was clean, comfortable, and everything worked perfectly. The balcony was beautiful, room service was excellent, and all of the restaurants and buffet were outstanding. The staff was incredibly courteous, attentive, and welcoming throughout our stay. My daughter had her wedding at the resort, and it was an unforgettable experience for our entire family. We rented cabanas and a private two-story beach area with its own bar, bartender, and attendant, and the service was exceptional. From the wedding events to the daily activities, everything exceeded our expectations. We made memories that will last a lifetime and would gladly return. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The value and service you receive at Dreams Vallarta is incredible. If you have kids they will enjoy the Explorers Club. We loved our time and plan to be back in the near future.
