Called in for lunch. Had to write a review to say how excellent the food was. I had the carvery and it was delicious, lots of choice, everything perfectly cooked and presented. Friendly service and value for money. Will be calling in more often.

"My granddaughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay, we’ll be back."

The room was as described and the bed was wonderfully comfortable. The evening meal we had and the breakfast were exceptionally good and great value for money. Everywhere was spotlessly clean even though the place was always busy. Great atmosphere too.

No lift, but staff did offer to carry my case. No phone in the room and no light on the dressing table. Minor niggles really and would not stop me from staying again.

"A lovely Hotel"

The Bold is a lovely Hotel, very popular with non residents day and night, inside and out It’s on an excellent location, near to all amenities Some car parking spaces round the back but you can pay for a space, with a discount at their sister hotel The Grand across the road if it’s full All the Bar, Restaurant and reception staff were very warm and welcoming. The room was cosy, the bed comfy, the bathroom spacious, all with good facilities Breakfast was a very nice hot buffet, drinks machine and a cold selection with a toast machine The only draw back we found was that there was some road and revellers noise into the night that a bit of internal double glazing would have fixed and a lift to the bedrooms would be good It was good value for money We would definitely recommend staying there
