"Stay anywhere else! "

2.0

I don’t think I’ve ever give a one star rating. I really wanted to reviews to be wrong but they were not. On Booking.com, i booked a $95 double suite with two rooms, but when I got here she said that wasn’t right and laughed. No apologies. We got a room with two doubles. It said on the sign, newly renovated - this place has not been renovated since the 70s. She said she was going to give us her best room - I would hate to see her worst! Beds were uncomfortable and hard, my son refused to get under the sheets, shower very cold. On the plus size (I am being generous), I liked that there were floors and not carpet and wifi was pretty good.

"So Much Wrong With This... Where To Start?"

2.0

Booked using Booking.com for 2 nights with my wife during spring break. Prices charged were in the medium to high range for a lousy $20 per night value motel! Problems started as soon as I arrived as the manager was attending a funeral and the owners were doing the checking in without much idea what they were doing. Suffice to say they couldn't work out how to get my credit card to work on their machine and it took 4 hours before my stay was eventually confirmed. I'd paid $250 for 2 nights and was allocated an upstairs room. I said I wanted a downstairs room because of heavy luggage and was told they all had king beds and were an extra $20 per night which I reluctantly paid. There was some room information provided on a piece of paper handed to me but not everything (more on this later). The door to our room (No 4) looked like it had been attacked by a drunken idiot and was both difficult to open and close due to swelling wood. Immediately on entering the room it absolutely stank of bleach and we had to leave the door open for an hour to get rid of the smell. The room was small and tatty despite claims of refurbishment. Obviously some work had been undertaken but definitely on the cheap by unqualified workers who'd made a mess of it. Furniture was chipped; curtains were hanging off the rails as they weren't fitted properly; The TV had a large bunch of unsightly wires hanging down underneath and a remote control stuck together with sticky tape. Two lamps were hanging off the walls as they weren't fixed properly; the fridge rocked as it hadn't been balanced properly; the 6' king bed was balanced on a 5' base which clanged loudly every time you got in or out of bed or turned over when in it; the bed itself however was actually quite comfortable. The floor was wooden and looked okay. However when I walked about in white socks I quickly found it was actually quite filthy and my wife had to wash the socks before I could use them again. The tiny bathroom was awkward to shut the door from within. the sink and taps looked new but badly fitted. Both the taps and the sink unit weren't fixed properly and rocked. The shower head had a base that should have fitted flush to the wall but actually was 3" short of the wall as the pipe was too long and hadn't been trimmed. A sure sign of "cheap" was the toilet roll on the holder with 5 sheets left on it on arrival. Inevitably the towels were all of the "thin" variety. A piece of soap the size of a large postage stamp was provided. In the morning at 7am I went to the tiny reception area to collect our "breakfast". The information sheet did not specify times and it didn't actually open until 8am! Danish pastries and muffins were available plus bananas, and cerial (but no milk) with throwaway plates and utensils. The worse tasting coffee it's been my displeasure to have in years was also available! The best is yet to come however! We went out for the day to Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge returning at around 5pm only to find that our room had not been touched. I went to reception and met the Manager, Holly, who said it was not their policy to make up rooms or even enter them unless they were specifically asked to. If you wanted towels changed you were supposed to leave them outside the door. She said she always told guests this on arrival to which I responded that she was not there when we checked in and the owners had not said anything! I said that in 40 years of travelling on business and pleasure and many hundreds of hotel overnights I had never heard of such a ridiculous policy. I actually felt quite sorry for her as it was obvious she was the only one there and was obviously chalet maid (on request) and chief bottle washer as well as being the "manager". There's not much else to say methinks!

"irma hotel stop"

4.0

stayed there because of hurricane Irma. could not get a room elsewhere.Room is basic with no frills. no free breakfast. lot of people hanging around watching you unload the car. 69.00 which seems pricey for a 50,s motel on U.S. 1. with the hurricane the electric went out at 9 p.m.. slept in the dark and heard the storm all night. On orange blossom trail this would be a $49.00 room. I got thru the night so BYE BYE

"Please avoid!"

2.0

I guess the only thing to say here is PLEASE GO ELSEWHERE! This is not the place to be for anyone. There are too many good Motels here in Titusville that can suit you and help you. I love this town and if you go here. It gives Titusville a bad look and maybe thought in your mind. I sure wouldn't want that to happen. With a town that is working so hard for the betterment of its community and people's. I usually say in the end of my reviews "tell them Carl sent you." I won't here! Take care all

"Solid clean no frills hotel!"

10.0

Solid hotel in historic downtown Titusville. Most rooms are brand new. Indian owners take good care of this place. New beds, TVs, flooring...kind of reminds me of red roof inn. To hit Cape Canaveral, Kennedy Space Center and Canaveral Beach this should be your primary hotel. Walking distance to Playalinda Brewery. Its not a Hilton but for $60 a night its a solid no fills place to stay. We will be back for another SpaceX launch.

"Desperately needing a motel "

6.0

We were visiting the Space Center and never thought about it being Memorial weekend. At about 6:30 PM started looking and guess what, No Vacancy anywhere but one Holiday Inn @ $450.00 starting price before taxes and I am sure that was one small bed. We checked for miles around and same thing No Vacancy!! So came here to TripAdvisor and found 3 Oaks!! We took the room and got luggage out upon opening the door the cigarette smoke smell was terrible. I told my wife we needed to tell them but we wanted to keep the room. The lady immediately offered a different room and there was no smoke. All rooms are Non Smoking but some still do it. We slept very well and it sure beat $450.00 + dollars for 1 room for 1 Night!!

"Enter at your own risk"

2.0

We pulled into the entrance and there were active drug deals and prostitution. We were not even comfortable getting out of the truck and going in the lobby to cancel our rooms, we could not of got out of there quick enough. I am shocked that Expedia would even offer this Hotel thru their site, we were in fear for our safety!!!!!!

"bad too VERY good"

8.0

I have stayed at this motel a previously from a trip and didn't have a good experience. But gave them a second chance. It was a complete turnover. They have renovated the rooms, the office, bathrooms and more. Room amenities match hotels rather than a motel. Its more classified at this stage of look. The staff was friendly as ever. Treated me as a friend rather than a guest. I will definitely recommend any one to this motel.

"It was like a city dump."

I think it's the kind of place that rent rooms by the hour. I couldn't see myself staying there. They did take the charge off my credit card.
