Villa Giada

The hotel location was superb with sea view, private garden and adjacent beach. The personnel were friendly and helpful. Nearby restaurants included the Sunset Beach Club, which was truly outstanding.

The room was in urgent need of repair. The shower was corroded with missing parts, and difficult to operate. There were no inserts in the wash basin drains, which required care in not losing personal items. The refrigerator and the hair dryer were inoperable. The safe was sitting on a shelf with broken attachments. Breakfast was very basic and unappetising.

When you enter this grand old villa it's like stepping back in time. The proximity to the beach is a huge bonus. The bed was very comfortable and the hospitality was very warm and welcoming.

The only (small) negative is that the wifi didn't really work in the room.

The property was right on the beach and also pet friendly. The gardens were beautiful and the rooms were quite large.

The location is amazing! Right on the beach with a little garden this hotel was perfect. Breakfast was very nice with scrambled eggs and all. I hoped for lactose-free cornettos for breakfast and every morning there was fresh ones provided for me. Host Massimo was very helpful and staff were very kind. Restaurant right next door had nice foods. With a quick walk and some stairs town centre was quite close by. Easiest to access by Tuktuk-taxi.

There was mould at the back of the side table , white spores. I was not feeling well after the third day cough, sore throat . Could not understand why , i am a nurse by the way. It was no until the last day we went to charge up our phone at a plug socket behind the chest of draws my husband noticed this. Such a shame as we had been here before and thoroughly enjoyed it. There needs to be a bit of updating on the rooms to bring them up to liveable standards.

Room

Very close to the beach. The building is formerly a private villa. Only 10 rooms. Very nicely appointed with an Old World flair. Private parking.

The breakfast did not include eggs.

Breakfast was nothing special, just the basics.

Given we booked the last night that they were open before closing for the season , the b&b was operating at a bare minimum. Everything looked tired, the place needs to be spruced up. Our room had no window to open , just the bathroom. We would have to have left the door open, no screen, who knows what crawls in in the middle of the night. Small bed, and a closed in room lead to a claustrophobic feeling. Didn’t get much sleep and we were happy to be quickly on our way in the morning.
