"All what you expect from a luxurious rural hotel."

Very beautiful rural hotel in the middle of nature and still close to cuitadella and beaches (if you have a car). Amazing team, manager, concierge, reception, restaurants (we can't name all of them). Beautiful rooms. One of a kind sunset bar!

The pool is too crowded while there is a lot of space around that could be used to offer more room and a bigger pool. Wifi and coffee could be improved.

"Relaxing experience, as pictured!"

I travelled with my fiance and stayed at Morvedra for 3 nights. We had a Junior Suite with Chill Out. The room was spacious and as pictured with plenty of storage space. The air conditioning was strong and cold. Our garden area was relaxing with the private "pool". I use pool in quotations because it did not appear to have any plumbing and just was a tub of cool water. It wasn't dirty but wasn't crystal clear probably from my sunscreen from the few times I went in. We also did see a pool attendant come inspect it at least once, but we were suspect of the water. Service and staff were all friendly and responsive quickly via Whatsapp. They helped coordinate dinner reservations, their sunset apertivo experience (highly recommend!) and ebike rentals to get to Cala Macarella with ease. Breakfast was included and was a great assortment of fruit, meats, cheeses, pastries and then hot made to order dishes like poached eggs or avocado toast with salmon. We also had dinner at the restaurant twice and both were delicious. Some feedback for the room - the sliding door to our outdoor space and outdoor shower were both extremely hard to open and close. We actually locked ourselves outside somehow within the first 30 minutes of arrival and had to Whatsapp reception to be rescued. Their were a lot of flies on the property as another review mentioned, however we found that was consistent with everywhere we went in Menorca (in late July). They were everywhere in the cities, on the beaches, and even at another 5 star property in Menorca that we stayed at. It is just the nature of visiting the island during high season.

"A complete scam and an utterly unprofessional hotel 'manager'"

We tend to avoid leaving bad reviews because of the impact they can have to businesses, but unfortunately this experience was so abysmal that we felt compelled to share. Hopefully it will save other people from wasting thousands of dollars at this hotel. - It was chaotic from before we arrived. No one emailed us asking if we wanted to book restaurants or needed assistance with anything - I had to reach out and ask, which just isn't a 5 star experience. - The walls are paper thin, we could hear everything in the rooms next to us. Which meant we were woken up late at night and early in the morning. I've stayed in 3 star hotels that have better sound insulation. - Parts of our room were simply falling apart - photos attached. There is virtually no storage in the room so it would have been great to be able to utilize these hooks but, as you can see, they were all falling out of the wall. This hotel very much prioritizes style over substance - everything photographs well but is beyond disappointing in reality. - The flies at breakfast were appalling. The meats on the buffet were covered in them and we had to cover our food with napkins as we ate. A really horrible experience. Despite the flies being omnipresent the staff were incredibly slow to clear dishes and glasses. - The service at the pool was non existent. The umbrellas kept coming off their frames and the guests were left fixing them. No one was bringing out water or taking orders. I ordered cocktails yesterday and it took 40 mins to get them. When they arrived the bill was wrong, it took 25 mins to get a new bill. However, the absolute worst part of the entire thing was the manager, Fabian. He was utterly rude, unprofessional and condescending. I spoke to two other groups who had complained and had similar poor experiences with Fabian. - During the conversation he wagged his fingers at me multiple times. I had to ask him to stop. - He was completely defensive and offered no apology or accountability. - He told me there were flies everywhere on the island. When I told him I had been here for 2 weeks and not experienced it anywhere else, instead of apologizing he just kept asking me 'where' in a very threatening tone. - I asked to speak to him at 12. He appeared at 12.20 and barely acknowledged me. - He told me he had no power to comp anything and then called the central office after I asked him to, who apparently told him to charge us in full. - When I told him I was completely uncomfortable paying for the service we had received he simply said he would charge our credit card in full when we left. I have never had a hotel threaten to charge a card before. It was extremely jarring. We were so looking forward to our stay, and so much of what happened would have been forgiven if Fabian had of dealt with the issue with kindness and professionalism but he did quite the opposite. As I mentioned there were multiple other groups at the hotel complaining about the flies, rooms, Fabian, dirt in the pool, overpriced drinks etc. I had a conversation on our last day with two groups who agreed 'scam' was the best word for it. I have subsequently reached out to the the Numa Signature Group who took several days to respond and, when they did finally respond, they offered no compensation. They charged my credit card without providing me with a full bill. Once they manage to send a full bill we'll be pursuing further action.

"Very DISAPPOINTING!"

Staff were friendly. Service a bit slow. Pool lovely. Decor beautiful. Breakfast and breakfast staff excellent!

Manager and manageress!! Rooms very impractical, no where to store your belongings and no cupboard space. Flies with no effort to correct the problem. The walk from the car park to the hotel with seldon the car operational to collect.

"We didn’t want to leave!!!"

We loved everything! The gardens were beautiful, the restaurant area was stunning. The food was really really good. And the staff were all so accommodating and lovely. We really recommend getting a room with a garden. Go to the sunset bar one night too! You will not regret staying here, can’t recommend it enough.

"WORST STAY"

The worst hotel experience I've ever had. An absolute waste of money and time. From the non stop flies to lack of cupboard space I am absolutely appalled. It is stated to be a 5 star hotel yet room service closes at 10pm, and there is no gym. The lack of compensation after numerous complaints is a disgrace and the response to such complaints was addressed with total arrogance.

"Worst stay ever! Left feeling scammed!"

Long review, but detailed...     When we arrived, we were very well received by the receptionist. Unfortunately, we do not remember his name and that was the only positive part of our short but stressful stay.   When we got to the room the incidents began, the first thing we noticed was a strong smell and sensation of humidity, which we let pass, since they had placed an air freshener right at the A/C outlet, something strange, but as mentioned we let it pass. When using the shelves for our clothes, we realized that the cleaning was not up to what we expect for the price paid, since we found a used vaper from the previous guest, shelves were dirty and also the floor, something you don’t expect but still we didn’t say anything. When we wanted to use our private pool we noticed that water was very dirty, so we went to the reception to inform it (on the way we saw that other pools in other rooms were clean and others dirty). Unfortunately, when we spoke with reception, the Manager (Not Spanish) approached and told us that it was because of the dirt in the environment and that it had surely been cleaned days ago and that was why; he said they were going to empty the pool and fill it up again (in an effort to make us feel guilty about wasting water). Again we let it go and we couldn't use the pool until almost night, which is not fair, but again we did not say anything and tried to understand that some things can happen. At this point I did not understand how they couldn't guarantee quality to a guest arriving at the hotel paying more than 500€ per night for 2 people and also not paying attention to these details, but as we do not usually complaint, we still thought that we could manage this and try to enjoy.   When we got into bed, I noticed that the pillow was wet and I thought it was because of the humidity, but it was really wet and I don't know if water entered the room because of the rain the day before or the same morning, again we said nothing, because we understand that there are details that can happen; However, for a hotel with this price, it shouldn't. I just put the pillow aside on the floor and took a nap.   When we arrived for dinner, we wanted to have dinner in the area where the trees were, but unfortunately there was a family with children running and screaming everywhere and occupying that area (no other hotel guest dined in that area that night), several guests (including us) commented on it, but nothing was done. In an exchange with emails later, after we had left the hotel, they confirmed that it is a common practice to accept children for restaurant meals, which is false advertising, as this hotel sell themselves as an ADULTS ONLY hotel.   The next day we woke up around 9am to take a shower, because we wanted to have breakfast and go out to see Menorca. In the middle of the shower, the water stopped coming out of the shower, we contacted reception and they told us that there was no water in the entire hotel, so that was when we decided to leave the hotel. The excuse that the manager gave us in one of the many calls we had, was that, due to the rain and dirty environment, they had used all the water to clean the common areas. I find the lack of foresight and such a childish excuse completely ridiculous, this is a hotel and not a camping zone. I had to finish showering with a bottle of water and not even being able to use the toilet (the lack of water lasted about 3 hours).   When we arrived at reception at around 10:30 a.m., we told the receptionist that we wanted to leave because the hotel did not meet our expectations and we wanted a refund of the nights that we were not  going to enjoy (Around 1000€).   We have never asked for a refundefore and never complaint or ask for compensation, if a hotel does not like us, we wait until the day of check out and never come back, but this time we felt that we could not pay more than 500€ per night and receive this kind of service. The only thing we wanted was to leave and be allowed to at least enjoy our last two nights in Menorca (we didn't even ask for a discount on the first night or dinner).   The receptionist told us that he couldn't refund our money and that he had to talk to the manager.   After 3 hours waiting and several conversations by telephone, the manager finally said that he would only refund us for one night, since according to his point of view we had received the service we had paid for (COMPLETELY FALSE), we decided to leave the hotel facilities  and stop wasting our time in this so called hotel, so we went to another hotel to finish enjoying our vacation.   Some weeks passed by and we had to call again because refund was not made, and they told us the refund of the night they promised, was not performed because they did not have the right information. So they waited until we called again, RIDICULOUS!.   They have only refunded us for one night, subtracting what we consumed in the dinner, so they have not even had the decency to give us a discount at the restaurant or at least drinks for the bad experience.   As a final note, I would like point out that the manager is not a really nice person who leaves much to be desired regarding customer service and twice we witnessed the poor treatment of the staff, addressing them with arrogance and shouting about his 20 long years of experience.   As said, this hotel needs a lot of improvement! We love supporting local business, but this kind of small business gives bad reputation to other small business that strive to offer a great or at least a fair service. Take the risk if you wish to spend money and not receiving the service you expect!

"Amazing place to stay in Menorca"

This place is truly amazing! Hidden in a 50 hectare area this place was beautiful. Lovely rooms with nice interior and the atmosphere of the hotel is just perfect for having a relaxing time. The staff are lovely. Menorca is a true hidden gem with all of the beaches, little towns and the surrounding nature.
