Ashford Castle

This is a wonderful castle with gorgeous bedrooms, drawing room, restaurants and areas just to sit and ponder. The grounds are beautiful and it is just an altogether truly relaxing place. Staff are the right balance of friendliness and courteousness whilst delivering a top class experience. Just one little thing - absolutely loved the staff, ambience and style of the drawing room, however, some of the dishes lacked that five star standard. It would not stop me from returning and trying perhaps a different item on the menu. Love it here at Ashford Castle.

Great entrance to the hotel with valet parking upon arriving in ashford castle. We stayed two nights and it was a Brilliant experience ,from the room to the service was excellent and all the staff were lovely. We enjoyed cocktails in the cocktail bar and the on-site cinema. The drawing room club sandwich was really nice. The breakfast was a great experience. The grounds are impressive. We hope to be back Lynsey &Tina

Absolutely outstanding. I had extremely high expectations of Ashford Castle due to the reviews I had read and personal experiences of friends who had visited previously. I brought my mother to Ashford for her 60th birthday celebrations, my main hope was that the food/drink were of a high standard and that the service was excellent. Not only were my expectations met they were exceeded. From the moment we arrived at Ashford Castle it felt like an "experience" more so than a night away. Brendan gave us an incredibly warm welcome which set the tone for our whole stay, every single staff member we came across was friendly and efficient, Emily on reception stood out to us in particular. The food, cocktails, spa, guest rooms, gardens, everything was impeccable and I honestly could not fault a thing. The breakfast service was wonderful and the morning dog walk was so enjoyable. I wish we had stayed more than one night as there was so much to take in. I am so impressed by everything about Ashford Castle and I cannot wait to return. Congratulations to the staff on their incredibly warm customer service skills, they are what makes this place so special.

Absolutely Gorgeous. Although we did not stay in the Castle we did have dinner at George V and pre-dinner cocktails. Everyone we encountered was warm and friendly. Everything we saw was beautiful and elegant.

Absolutely amazing experience! The service and accommodations exceeded my expectations. It was the nicest hotel I have ever stayed at. The staff made you feel at home and was there to assist at all times. From the rooms to the spa to dining everything was 5 star. It has been on my bucket list gir a long time . I can’t wait to go back!

My mother and I stayed at S-Fort Castle for two nights on December 8th and 9th, and it was truly one of the most magical experiences we have ever had. From the very first moment, we were welcomed with incredible warmth and kindness. The staff were absolutely outstanding, and we would especially like to mention the wonderful Hungarian gentleman who greeted my mother in Hungarian. Since she does not speak English, this meant so much to us and immediately made her feel comfortable and at home. The hospitality was exceptional. We received detailed and thoughtful information about everything, and the wide range of activities available was impressive. There was always something interesting to do, and the staff were happy to help with any request. On our first evening, at the end of our dinner, I was surprised with a lovely birthday treat. We had not mentioned any special occasion in advance, so this gesture truly touched my heart. It showed how attentive and caring the staff are — they genuinely listened to what I said and went out of their way to make me feel special. The surroundings are simply breathtaking. The landscape is beautiful, and the Christmas decorations made the entire castle feel even more magical and festive. It truly felt like stepping into a fairytale. The food was phenomenal — every meal was delicious, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The room service was unforgettable and added an extra touch of luxury to our stay. Thanks to the amazing staff, the atmosphere, and the attention to every little detail, we truly felt like Disney princesses during our visit. This stay was more than just a hotel experience — it was a memory we will cherish forever. We are incredibly grateful to everyone at S-Fort Castle for making our time there so special. And you can't miss Eoin's Ashford Unique Experiences. Music, art, history, soda bread baking, cheese making, sheep and knitting, Wild Atlantic Way, whatever your fancy, he will curate the experiences. Eoin is a treasure on his own. Being at Ashford Castle for however long is a memory you will cherish. You do not even need to live in an 80 room castle to believe Ashford is your dream home away from home.

A wonderful experience in every sense, from the beautiful surroundings, the fine food and wines, the service and comfort, but more especially the Irish charm of the staff that dispels any stuffiness or pretentiousness.

Our third time staying here and it really is one of the best hotels in the world. The attention to detail, friendliness, attentiveness, exceptional food and service is incredible and worth that bit extra in cost. You really do just relax and sink into the experience. We will be back!
